Collection Agency Address
RE: Account #xxxxx-xxxxxx
Dear Collection Agency,
Under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act Section 805 (C), it is my right to request that you cease contact with me imediately. With this notice, under the law, you can now only contact me to:
- Advise me that your company's further efforts are being terminated
- Notify me that your company may invoke specified remedies which are ordinarily invoked by such debt collector or creditor; or
- Notify me that your company intends to invoke a specified remedy
Be advised that if collection attempts continue after receipt of this notice, I will immediately file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and the (list your state) Attorney General’s office.
Additionally, if I’m contacted again after receipt of this notice, I will pursue both criminal and civil claims against you and your company for violation of the FDCPA. Please be aware that going forward, any communications from your company may be recorded to be used as evidence for my claims against you.
