The CA is in Michigan...Who is it?

I just got contacted by a CA over medical debt that is not mine, but a family members!!

No, the one from Michigan was the case three years ago. I was just posting about a discussion I had with their atty, three years ago when I sued them.

The one I sued from your state was a junk debt buyer over an old credit card bill that was my ex-wife's.

Yes, nothing screams credibility more than violating a statute that has been on the books in Arkansas since 1961 and the director of the agency that would have regulated them, if they would have followed the law, is an appointed position by the governor.

FYI, hey paid the $160. They only people I know that cannot understand that concept are debt collectors. Well, I don't actually know any, personally. But I have talked to some. About half were actually nice people, even though they worked at a job with bad data in their computers. The other half were clueless scumbags not worth dealing with that should instead be in prison (and many likely were for too short a time).

Now it could be the OC that made the error. That's where a lot of the errors actually happen. But CAs should understand this.
