Default CAN I GET A 2ND MORTGAGE???

I need to find a second mortgage for $35,000. I have a deed in lieu from Oct 2009 and a 659 credit score, with plenty of equity in the home. What is the best source to apply?

The waiting period for a new mortgage after a Deed in Lieu is 4 years up to 7 years....

There are many factors involved with getting approved for a second mortgage loan including being at the same residence for many years. Numerous people use home second mortgages to finance large purchases after they have built up equity in their home.

You might be able to try refinancing your current home with a cash out program if there's enough equity.
