Oh, boy...do I know how this feels!!! We started with an overdraft of $22 from Wells Fargo. That's the way it should have read...instead, they paid the big check first (re-arranging the order after 2 days had passed), and instead of one bounced check we had four. Payday was 5 days away. The first $22 went from, in 5 days, $358. What hurts the most is that the are robbing from the poorest of us to go home to one of their three or four houses, when we are eating tuna and stressing.

I don't know, my credit is pretty valuable to me. I say just pay the cards off and don't give them any money. That will hurt right where it counts, on the bottom line.

Let the bank rack up the usary overdraft fees upon penalities upon fees. Just leave those on the account and let your credit get 'dinged'. The banks are slapping back the public because they are not getting their way with the bailouts. It's you or them.
Don't bank in the future, at all. Take all yours unto yourself and find your on offsite ways-cheap postal money orders, etc..
The financial and economy will crash again, it is becoming government owned. Don't let them have yours.Survive or not.

Well guess what? I fell into this trap...which is one reason why I've been reluctant to have a checking account in the first place. I've never been a huge wage earner but in this day and age, you almost have to have a checking account. I am being charged HUGE overdraft fees and my bank won't let me close my account to halt the fees. Hard times...and I've been a customer for 7-8 years. So I have a choice of letting the fees accumulate until I can scrape up the money to pay my account off (which is now in the negative, by the way) and close it (at least I'll be in good standing with the bank...the crooks) OR close my account now and get reported to chex systems and deal with them along with a major ding on my credit, but at least stopping the crazy charges that won't stop accumulating. I'm so sick of stressing out about it. I'm going to have to suck it up whatever I'm going to do but its wrong that they get away with this. Its like being kicked when you are already down. :!: :!:
