However, I must add (by personal experience) Do NOT expect that all Property Management Companies are created equal!! I was using a "professional" property management firm and had the same renters for over eight years when I decided to move back into the home and gave the renters a four month notice. When it came time to move from California to the home in Washington State, the property managers called to tell me that the house was trashed and unliveable! It took two huge dump trucks to empty the trash from the home and rats had eaten through the carpeting! My point? The property management had not done one single walk through in the entire eight years. Be very specific when hiring a property management company and make sure that they actually "manage" your property : Great comments….
