Sounds promising, doesn’t it? With all the folks out of work under current economic conditions it sure would be nice to find a get-rich-quick scheme. And to work from the comfort of your own home- Sweet!
Unfortunately, it isn’t as easy as it sounds. There are many scams and false promises dangling out there in cyberspace, just like there are in all other walks of life. You need to do your research carefully– beware of sites claiming you will make tremendous amounts of money , or any site which makes you pay money to join. Here is a list of some ideas and sites that seem to have good feedback from others:
Ebay: Ebay is most likely the most well-known and popular method of earning income online. It is relatively easy, given you do not have to create your own website or online store. You can simply sell items you no longer use, or sell items you’ve made or collected, new or used. As with any business, you need to be aware of scams and con artists.
CafePress.com: This website allow you to to have an online shop, where you can create and sell a variety of customizable products with zero upfront costs and zero inventory investment.
GlobalTestMarket.com: Get paid cash for filling out surveys on products. You likely won’t get rich doing it, but the site states that it was “designed to give you the opportunity to get paid for directly influencing global market research.” development of products and services that you use every day.
ehow.com: You can write “how-to” articles, adding photos and video if you are so inclined, and earn money based on article performance. The is called the eHow “Writer Compensation Program”, and based on the information on their website, you need to create an interesting article and learn how to promote it so that the search engines will like it.
Creative writing/articles: There are many sites where you can submit online articles and creative writing for possible sale. Several of these include helium.com, associatedcontent.com, and constantcontent.com. How payment is made varies from site to site.
Google Adsense impression sharing: Also called revenue sharing, there are many alternatives for websites that utilize this payment model for your writing. Some examples include SpeakAboutIt.com, Print N Post.com, Xomba.com, and HubPages.
Although you likely won’t get rich using any of the above websites, you may be able to build a nice supplemental income with minimal effort. As with most things in life, you’ll get out of it what you put into it.
