  1. Great post! I think many of us made the assumption that the thrust of the question was removing a tradeline for a legitimate debt, not because there was anything wrong or incorrect with the reporting but simply because they wanted it off their credit repot/escape responsibility for a legitimate debt. Whether that was or wasn’t a correct assumption, I think it important to point out that, at least in my opinion, there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with having a “legitimate” debt removed from a consumer’s credit history files if there the information being reported is incorrect and the reported is unwilling to correct it. Anyone reporting to the bureaus have an absolutely obligation to report accurate information; if the information isn’t accurate, we as consumers have an absolute right to dispute it and force them to either correct the data or remove the tradeline.

  2. It sounds like you are getting a few this confused. Never confused the 7 years reporting period with oweing the debt. Even when a debt falls off in 7 years, you still owe it. Now, concerning your repo, this is govened by the UCC (if your state has adopted it) so the SOL is up in 4 years. Since it's been over 4 years, if you are sued, then you have a valid defense and you may end up not having to pay. So, you can take this out of your BK thinking for now. Concerning the judgment, you said the amount is only $1000. Can you do a payment plan on this? Taking care of the judgment and clearing your CR are two different issues. You don't want a garnishment. How old is the judgment? Again, I don't think $1000 is enough to warrant a BK. Do you personally have any other large debts besdies the repo and this judgment? If these are the only two, then I don't think you need BK.

  4. Why not stay in PA? The tax burden here is a fraction of what it is in that colony on the other side of the river.

  5. Hello Jason, how is it going? I am at the AG level with the guys and they seem to be helping me. I sent them all my copies on DV refusals, cra verification, NYC pay day loan law and violations. The assigned an investigator. So, stay tuned. What's your status? ________ Mazda bongo picture

  7. What I did was personalize it by adding a paragraph with details I thought were wrong in the first paragraph, and I forget what I added to the last Paragraph. I removed the part about the frivolous clause. I didn't want to give them any ideas.

  8. If they send you paperwork requesting more information, don't send them anything no matter what. They are only trying to buy another 15 days from you by sending it in.

  9. I posted this in another thread, but wanted this in it's own as well so that others might see it too. Getting INQs off from EX is totally possible! I did it by doing the steps below: Out of 18 INQs, I got 16 DELETED!!! The 2 that remain are from the pulls that gave me the credit (HSBC and MACYS). The other 16 are gone. (Note: You might need to put a Fraud Alert on your report to get this done...I had to ask for the Fraud Department and they put me through Special Handling) It was implied that my inquiries were put up due to fraud...because I did place a fraud alert on all three, I think this is why this flew. 1) Get the Experian report number that comes from your Experian credit report. You will need that to get through the phone system. 2) Call 1-800-493-1058 3) Input the number you found in step 1 and your last four of your social security number 4) Immediately say agent 5) Wait for CSR to come on 6) Ask to be transferred to Fraud Department (Special Handling) due to INQs put up due to fraud 7) Explain to CSR #2 that you might have had INQs put up due to fraud. 8) She will ask you which one one by one...just run down the list. You can try to put INQs that are attached to TLs on your report, but most likely it won't fly. Pulled my TC and CIP today...while CIP still showed 18 (I pulled that one first), TC showed 2 EXP INQs! MAN, I LOVE THIS SITE!! If you follow this exactly, you may get those Experian INQs removed. It worked for me. Please hook me up with some green bars if this works for you. (Or thanks will be cool too).
