  1. Just an FYI. I've been away from the boards for about a week so not sure if anyone else has commented on this. When I started my process, my TU file was split due to the ridiculous number of accounts and duplicates. Now, I have no baddies and a relatively few number of TLs compared to where I started. My split file was corrected fairly early on in my repair process. I have been a daily puller now for about nine months, first w/ TC and then with CK and Chase ID Protection. The soft inquiries have for that time, obviously, been numerous. But now, the number of soft inqs through creditkarm

  4. Well... One of the key differences between this board and that one is that this place is very civil. 5. Tommy - I have been with CIC for almost 2 months and will share how I started.........others who have been in credit repair longer will be able to share what has worked for them. 7. Tom, What had helped me with many of my bads was the 1-2 punch method, followed by the BBB method. I had about the same negs as you, and now I'm down to 3-4 (plus the darned lien). Have you found the flow chart on the regular creditinfocenter.com page yet?

  8. Nah...remember who it is we're bailing out. As I understand it, here's what happened... 1. SOME banks lowered their lending standards so that peoplle who couldn't afford housing loans, got them anyway. They did some of this with "adjustable rate" loans, or "interest only" loans. Some of this was outright fraud. These were "sub-prime" loans. 2. Housing prices went up. Bigger loans were written. 3. OTHER banks began to lend money with lower standards. 4. Somebody with a business MBA got the bright idea of buying those mortgages from the banks, and packaging them into "financial instruments" that
