  1. Here's a breakdown of my Chexsystems NSF dispute process so far, kinda stuck and still unsure as to what has to be provided as proof at this point. It seems like Chexsystems is playing games with me, but hey, they have been dealing with this kind of stuff longer than I have. Any suggestions on what my next steps should be? TIA!! 1/9/2014 Mailed Chexsystems initial dispute letter Re: incorrect/innacurate reporting under my social security number (NSF account Wachovia Bank). Also requested for proof. 1/15/2014 Received Chexsystems generic confirmation letter stating they have received my dispute letter and forwarding my file to the appropriate personnel for handling. 1/20/2014 (only 5 days??) Received Chexsystems verification letter (No change to the reporting, added statement: Report disputed by consumer, and verified accurate by FI). 1/29/2014 Mailed Procedural Request letter. Asking for proof and any documents of NSF activity bearing my signature. 2/11/2014 Received same generic letter from Chexsystems stating they are forwarding my file to the appropriate personnel for handling. In addition it also states that "If the information is verified by the source to be accurate as reported Chexsystems will, in accordance with the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act, request that you provide us with a copy of a valid report filed with a law enforcement agency that clearly supports your claim. Once we have received the supporting documentation, we will be happy to review the situation further and will inform you of any actions taken as a result of documentation provided. Wondering at this point whats the purpose of having Chexsystems? I could have forwarded my own file to an appropriate personnel for handling!! Is forwarding a response for me a valid response to a procedural request? Someone please say no 2/25/2014 Received letter from Wells Fargo today regarding the possibility of being an identity theft victim and to contact them to discuss activity with the account. Should I respond? arent hey suppose to supply me with proof of their reporting since they verified the NSF as being accurate in the first place? I dont want them trapping me into acknowledging something.
  2. JDB response to my DV letter with statement copies from what looks like are from the OC (HSBC). Thing is, the amount on the statement copies they mailed dont match the amount the JDB is trying to collect. Is this allowed? isnt there suppose to be an explanation if they added fee's or a copy of card agreement that says they are even allowed to? TIA for helping. Orginal charge off debt amount:$869. JDB balance since purchase in 2010: $1418. and trending
  3. Who do I send a 623 to and when since I have not disputed this to the CRA. I appreciate all the input.
  4. I have a couple of new collection accounts from a JDB on my report. I have no clue who the OC is (not listed) and what the debt is for. No account matches up to the info they are reporting. This doesnt seem right. But Im new to the credit repair process. Any suggestions on my initial step? thx.
  5. Thank you for the info! I dont have any medical bills. All negative,TL are already tied to other agencies. I honestly dont have a clue what the debt is for. Would it be best to send the first dispute on them as "not mine" with a CRA? I dont want it to raise any fraud alerts unless I know for sure. Just want them removed if they are not reporting correctly. Thanks again for helping.
  6. I have no clue as to what the laws are, this is my first case. Ill try to look them up though. I am not employed at the moment so im home 98% of the time. Someone is always here most of the time. If they did come by though.. would there usually be a notice? But maybe theres a different law in my county. I live in Atlanta (fulton county). Will def be calling them NOW to see my options. Thanks guys!
  7. Receivables Performance and Pinnacle just popped up on my credit report. Confused because I dont see any negative accounts with the same account number on my report to tie them to? omething doesnt seem right here, but im a newbie so any advice would be greatly appreciated. I have no knowledge of them prior to finding them on my credit report. Since I never received a notice, do I need to dispute with CRA as not mine? or....? They are listing on my EX report as followed: please excuse me if I didnt post this correctly or need to make any corrections TY in advance! 8. UPDATE: OK, so I just received a manila folder in my mailbox sent regular mail this AM from Portfolio Recovery. Inside was a copy of a notarized affidavit along with 10 months worth of statement copies from HSBC. They also included a copy of the cc agreement (11/07 NAF,AAA). I have not been served yet. Guess they send these types of letters beforehand as a way to inform me they are suing? "Gee, thanks" Just wanted to hear anyones thoughts on this. I also found out online that the case was filed early November. Im assuming the sherriff should arrive with summons...anyday now.....? *twiddling thumbs*
  9. Thank you! Yay! My first response! They filed 11/13 looks like.. I believe it's 20 or 30 days to answer? will double check. I'll definitely go pick up the summons myself if it helps. Any idea as to what usually happens after I answer a summons? What happens if they were granted the judgment, does that restart or adds an additional debt on my credit report? Never been through something like this and overwhelmed with all the info out there (it can be confusing) but so glad I found this site and will def do some more reading. Thanks again for your help
  10. Hi I'm VERY new to this site so PLEASE correct me if needed. Just throwing things out there to see if I can get some Insight. I am being sued by portfolio recovery for an HSBC Orchard card opened in 09. My EX credit report lists the HSBC account under "good standing accounts" and current with a 0 balance, but it also states "purchased by another lender"? Is that right? ive disputed this account with the CRA and it has come back verified each time. PRA has since sent me a copy of the billing statement after each dispute and a letter stating they owned the account. Since they consider that proper validation and are now suing, I'm confused as to what my options are and if I even have a leg to stand on if I denied their claim when I get served? I have yet to be served with the summons (but am sure it will be any day now) and have only found out about the case being filed against me through recent attorney advertisements in the mail and confirmed it by doing a public record search online in my county court with the case # that was provided in the advertisements. I live in Atlanta, GA. Any advice how to best prepare myself with PRA would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know if you need more info, or if i just need to wait and be served before posting. Thank you in advance!!

I have yet to be served with summons (but sure it should be any day now) and have only found out about the case filed against me by PRA through recent attorney advertisements in the mail and confirmed it by doing a public record search online for my county magistrate court with the case # that was provided in the advertisements. Please let me know if you need more info on my interactions with PRA since they acquired this account. Thank you!!
