  1. Is there anything else I can do?
  2. I sent out the first letters finally and my credit score dropped from 638 to 620. It looks like all my disputes were responded to and verified
  3. Here is an update letter I received. img028.pdf
  4. I beg to differ... a collection company can not be assigned the task of collecting. the OC hires a collection company attorney (granted it could be an collection attorney) BUT are hired. and the caption on the lawsuit would have the OC name, and not the attorney or collection company's name. assignment is basically the OC giving up there rights to the debt. and selling it to someone else.
  5. No, Chase Assigned the debt to PCC. It says so in the Complaint.
  6. I would try, it wouldn't hurt. look at mc-10 , mc-11 or mc-12 (state court forms) if the other side does not object then you just added those cost. if they object a date is set and let the judge say no.
  7. My guess is they do not since PCC sued me for the debt. My question is how do I proceed to find out why CHASE pulled my Credit Report?
  8. post 12... Yes, I just pulled the complaint of the default and the JDB is Professional Collection Consultants (PCC) on the complaint it said the original creditor was Chase. Do I call Chase and ask why they pulled my credit history ? or write a letter to ask?
  9. Post 11: I should have asked it this way. if the debt is past the 4 yr. mark can the CA still run inquiries on the person?
  10. Are these questions right for this forum? I have a default judgment against me. The JDB are running my credit report and so is CHASE for the same debt.? Default was in 2011 CA Ran it in 2012 CHASE ran it in April 2014 ??? CA ran it in Aug. 2014 How can CHASE run my Report? They are running the report under the same Address Identification Number
  11. CA's who are trying to collect on stuff pass the SOL, are they aloud to run inquires, even if it doesn't effect your credit score?
  12. Is there a sample Dispute Letter to send to the CRA?
  13. I'm made my list and there is quite a bit. It seems Experian has about 5-7 CA that do not show on T.U. or EQ. Med. Bills (not to get to personal) My son is covered under an umbrella for his disease. It was said to me that the umbrella would bill my insurance and then the rest would be covered under the umbrella. I believe I wrote letters to this fact to the CA's but it still shows up on my CR. Only on Experian. I'm a bit more aggressive and would like to sue, at what point do I pull the trigger on the CA? I have an AT&T collection, but I disputed it even before it went to collections
  14. Default Judgment was in 2011 They filed a Wage Garnishment in 5/2013 I filed an Exemption and won. I didn't fight this one because a year or 2 earlier I fought pretty hard, with an Atty. and I lost. The witness was in San Francisco. and the judge allowed it, not only that a different witness came to the trial and the judge allowed it. I figured what's the point to fight this one. Then I found This Website and everyone helped on a Current Case. Is there anything I can Try?
  15. in general, i understand its better to pay-off creditors. my wife has a lawsuit that she agreed to pay 2/3 less. but now she nows that the JDB will not say its paid in full. What is worse a debt that shows you paid it off, and not in full or paid in full over 3 threes?
  16. Howdy to All, I'm ready to start this journey. Upfront I know I have 2 judgment's 1. Beneficial - I lost, I fought very hard with an atty. but the judge didn't see it or way. 6000.00 +. They assigned the judgment to a law firm with in the last month. I would like to attack it now but Calawyer said let sit on it and see their next move. The assignment is very questionable. 2. 2nd judgment is default, to portfolio, I think about 1500.00 They tried to garnish my wage but I filed an exemption and won that. 3. I also have a repo that was done in 2008. I guess they had to file a lawsuit by Oct
  17. Yes, But my wife and I didn't say that once we met the Atty. at the day of trial. Her question is does anyone know if her credit score is going to take a big hit if they are going to report "settled for less than full amount", or is it a small hit ?
  18. This is the JDB that she settled with. just before trial To only pay 500 of 2500.00. So she could pay the 500.00 and be done. but they would not give her a paid in full. Or should she pay it off slowly (about 2 yrs.) to better her score or at least keep it from going down.
  19. Even thou My wife made an agreement to settle. she believes that her credit score is going to take a hit. if it does, will it be a bad hit? she now whats to pay the whole thing off. So it says its paid in full. What do the experts say?
  20. On the claim of exemption does she cover the money coming in ? .... I'm in the same boat, I filed a claim of exemption. The JDB filed the same doc. and they did not show up. and the judge looked it over and sided with me.
  21. I was served the Assignment by mail and I wanted to be on defense this time. Secondly yes, I really need to clean up my credit.
  22. I looked up Patterson, she is in the state of WA working for a law firm KRISTA L.WHITES AND ASSOCIATES,P.S.... Beneficial California Inc. merged out. I believe with HSBC, not sure thou, I called CT Corp. and they wont say.
