ONE more time:  the FTC does not handle these issues anymore.  That is why the CFPB was created.

File suit based on WHAT?  There are absolutely NO facts in any of your posts that would induce the volunteers here to tell you to head down to the court house and file a Federal suit.

Absolutely NO way of knowing without your divulging what happened and when with specific facts corresponding.

March i sent a dispute letter, waited 30 days, no response.

April i sent a second dispute letter, and still no response.

Last month may, i sent a third letter warning them that they are in violation of the FCRA, and still have not received a response yet for any letter.

Since I am a pro se litigant, i do t use lawyers.

They're in violation of the FCRA if they never responded.  However, it's upon you to prove you filed a proper dispute and that a response was never issued.

I agree that you should take your information to a consumer attorney to make sure all of your ducks are in a row.

I appreciate all your responses, i have an understanding of law to the effect that i always represent myself in court.

Should I file a complaint thru CFPB or FTC and than go to the courthouse and file suit?

Would that be my next step?

Could you please explain a little more?

    1.  What was your dispute?

    2.  Did they ever respond at all?

I disputed negative erroneous items on my credit reports, and no they never responded.

You don't write a letter to the FTC.  All complaints are now handled by the CFPB and you can file a complaint on line.  The chances that they handle your situation individually are slim to none.

Thank you for responding. well I've been doing everything by usps certified mail, keeping accurate records, so can i just write to them by mail?

And also, what is the best way to write the letter to them
