  1. So, no matter what they are out of statute? The person that was threatening me did have my social security number. What kind of court would I look under?
  2. I have not had any credit in probably about 10 years or longer. My husband who abandoned my kids and I ruined my credit many years ago, but I am not currently aware of any credit issue. I received a phone call out of the blue this week. I answered and she said that they are going to file in the county, sue me, garnish my wages, and put lien on property. They said the name of company was Household. Then someone left messages saying, "contacting you from processing dept. Received order for 2 pending matters. I may be pursuing you at your employment or residence. You have right to contact client to resolve, and left phone # and case #, but when you are located, you forfeit that right. It's possible debt may be valid. If so, it was probably around 10 years or longer ago. There is nothing on my credit reports. I am disabled and not employed. It may have been on there and fell off along time ago. I am scared. Do I call the number they gave me? I don't know what to do. Would appreciate help.
  3. I posted somewhere else with the title above. Can you please search. I have called family attorneys/civil attorneys/bankruptcy attorneys and noone knows what to do. Is there anyone who can help me or direct me to someone who can? I have been left and stuck with this car by my husband and I am trying to fix it. I need to know what to do with out of state car besides not driving it. Do I just call the bank and ask? What will happen then? Is it possible to negotiate with the bank? Is there any way to deal with the situation without my credit being completely ruined again after waiting 26 years for it to be finally clear after husband repeatedly ruined it? If there is repo or judgement is there a time limit to these things? I have no idea what my husband did. He refused to talk about anything financial. There has to be someone who knows. I am trying to do the right thing. Because I was honest with everyone in trying to fix it I am guessing they will come and get it now. Should I call the bank and just tell them to come get it? I am so scared. I have been through so much. Is there anyone who can help?
  4. What do you mean they are crimes? Neither of us have any other car to drive and no other option. I have 3 kids and have to get medication or I will die, and go to doctors, etc. We have to drive places. So, you're saying a divorce attorney is the one who is going to fix all this? Do I call Wells Fargo? What do I tell them? Is this going to affect my credit? My husband ruined my credit for 26 years. It is finally clear. My mom died on top of everything else and I am under so much stress. What am I supposed to do to fix this quickly? I need specific advice and help on what to do. I obviously need quick solutions. Now I am more than terrified.

  6. The plates are not current. Not military. I don't think I can get it registered which is the problem. We had one checking account together, it was withdrawn, as soon as it was current I canceled my part as he took my economic payments. No joint credit cards. My main concern is the car. It is from 2006. I don't know what my options are but I have to fix it somehow. I can't deal with that stress. Contacted a consumer/bk attorney who said he didn't know what to do or who I could talk to for help which led me here. I really appreciate the supportive comments. How do I find out what would be involved in keeping the car and what happens if I need to give it back to the bank? I don't know anything about this. I know I need to contact a divorce attorney. Hard to know who is good. My son also has a car that is in my husband's name, but son paid for it. My husband stopped making insurance payments on it when he left so they canceled his registration too and so he can't register it either. So I have both car issues and trying to find solutions. I would really appreciate help.
  7. I am disabled. My husband took care of all financial things until he deserted me and our children without warning in the middle of the night. I don't know where he is. He left me with a car that has out of state plates. I am not positive, but pretty sure that he stopped making payments on it maybe many years ago. I think he got some check from them, but I don't know if it was related to the car or not. I called the state the license plate is in and they said that the car was in both mine and my husband's name and that wells fargo is the lienholder. I don't know what to do. I just want to resolve this situation and make it right. I am terrified everytime I have to drive. I am in Georgia. What do I do?
  8. I have 3 medical collections that are from 4 yrs ago. They are all small amounts(under $100)because they did not bill my secondary insurance. CRA keep reporting it valid even though it was disputed. How do I fix these credit issues as they are due to billing errors?
