    SOL Questions

Check these for more information. SOL has nothing to do with how long it's on your report. http://www.debt-consolidation-credit-repair-service.com/forums/showthread.php?t=238128 http://www.debt-consolidation-credit-repair-service.com/forums/showthread.php?t=219440

    Case Law: FDCPA

I haven't but I intend to put some more stuff up. Like admin said, knock yourselves out.
  5. Amen! Love this thread!!! I think it's a reason some of us, me perhaps, get burnt out at times. It's just incredibly annoying when people demand answers and get snotty when they feel they're not getting spoon-fed. Nobody is getting paid to do this so show a little respect when others, like the mods, admin and veterans are taking time our of their spare time to help you. Now Morrow, hand me my whip
  6. First off, welcome to the board!! Second, validation only applies to collection agencies and since this is an OC, debt validation wouldn't apply in your case. Regarding your question, a charge off is only an accounting term, it has nothing to do with them reporting it on your credit report, meaning, it'll hurt you as long as it's on there so that would be your incentive to get it off. As far as payment, that's usually the last step in credit repair. My suggestion is, read up on the board, there's tons of inforamation and a lot of helpful people to answer any of your questions.
  7. It's pretty easy to figure this stuff out yourself...Like LNY said, you can do it yourself...
  8. Vrandon is right, FDCPA does not cover biz debt but CB has a section covering business debt, you could try to check it out and see if you can find your answers there, or post your questions http://creditboards.com/forums/index.php?showforum=27
  9. Worth a try right... here's the thread http://debt-consolidation-credit-repair-service.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=17181&highlight=removing Don't know if it work anymore either though.
  10. I'm with J on this. If you're not looking for any type of loan in the near future and need to show your accounts as "paid" then it is suicide to to settle for a paid collection or charge-off. Your goal should be a clean report and paid or unpaid, it's still derogatory. Read up some more in the repair section before taking your next step.
  11. I wouldn't start out with that, payments should be used as a last resort, once you pay you loose a lot of leverage. You should start with disputing it and see if it falls off, then go DV.
  12. Hey there and welcome!!! We don't hate you at all, in fact, it's good to hear from people on your side of things. We've had a few people hear that worked for collection agencies that were helpful to our members so I'm sure your comments can be very enlightening as well. Although I'm sure the mods will keep an eye on you...
  13. Apparently you haven't been around long enough to understand that a lot of peole don't know the difference, or aren't sure. One would think it's wiser to clarify the question before answering, don't you think?
  14. Are you referring to reporting time or SOL? It's two completely different things....
