  2. They just want to make sure you are the one who you say you are. But they did that to me before, I sent them the stuff and I never heard anything back from them, I sent them another letter for deletes and they sent me another letter stating I had to send them a copy of my DL, SSN, and phone bill. But I already sent them that stuff. So just keep on them, I called them up and they said "Oh Ok" and now they are validating my request.
  3. I had that problem before. I called them up and spoke with a rep, I told her I had already attempted to contact the OC or the CA and recieved no response as far as the validation went. After some talking the EQ rep did update the account I was questioning because they also did not have any documents to provide me as to what they recieved for validation, although she did tell me that thier validation process could just be a phone call to or from the OC or CA stating the debt is mine. She also told me to not be surprised if the debt showed up on my credit again. But it never has...
  4. I got the book, it's a great one, but I lost the CD
  5. A few months ago I made a complaint with the FTC about Experian. They responded back to me about a week later with what seems to be a generic response they send to probobly everyone. A couple of days ago I again made a complaint to the FTC about CSC. They provided me with the same response, exactly!!!! Do they do anything? Do they contact the CRA? Or do they just file the complaints and place bets on which CRA will have the most complaints? This is the response I got from the FTC: (I dont really expect anyone to read this, its pretty long)
  6. No they never responded to my initial dispute letter. Im just going to wait the 30 days and send a intent letter if the disputed accounts are not deleated within 15 days.
  7. Thanks luna, thats exactly what I planned to do I just don't want to keep going around and around with these jokers until these negs just fall off.
  8. Ok, I disputed with CSC for 2 negs on 11 April. After recieving no response from them I sent a follow-up letter on 18 May demanding they delete the 2 negs for failure to investigate IAW the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 USC section 1681i. They sent me a letter today stating: Your request concerning your credit file has been received and we look forward to assisting you. To protect the confidentiality of your file, please forward to us the items listed below. This information is needed to process your request. Please send a photo copy of the following: Social Security Card Driver's License

  10. You might have found the letter under the "Debt Validation" link at the top of this page (it's linked under "Debt Validation Strategy" under the "DV" link): http://www.creditinfocenter.com/forms/sampleletter9.shtml I also think it's a good letter and highly recommend it. Yup there it is, after all the looking around on different sites I couldn't remember, thanks....
