  1. I'm assuming you have sent them a letter telling them not to call you at home or work or your family?
  2. Depends on your state. In Texas, we can sue the CA for breaking state collection laws.
  3. Just a friendly suggestion. I suggest it, because this is what I'd do in your place. I would call the Court Clerk or go down in person to the court, and ask if need to fix anything on the paperwork. I'm pretty sure they are allowed to help that far.
  4. http://moneynews.newsmax.com/streettalk/bank_foreclosure_defaults/2009/03/30/197477.html Anyone seen/heard of this actually happening? Wondering what the pro's/con's are?
  5. Note to self, don't modify my loan with Countrywide. They are sneaky bastards aren't they.
  6. I have a question, why are so many people against using snail mail nowadays?
  7. Newest addresses to order your credit reports from these three companies: Experian PO Box 2104 Allen, TX 75013 TransUnion PO Box 1000 Chester, PA 19022 CSC Credit Services (Equifax in Texas) P. O. Box 619054 Dallas, TX 75261 Verified the first two via automated phone systems, pulled CSC from their website.
  8. OK, I tracked down the addresses needed to pay for your credit reports at both places. They make it a major pain in the rear to find this info. Experian PO Box 2104 Allen, TX 75013 TransUnion PO Box 1000 Chester, PA 19022 Both of these addresses were from calling the automated phone systems of each company and jumping through all the hoops.
  9. Anyone know the current mailing addresses for TU and Experian? I am not looking for any addresses that are for "Free Reports". I'm looking for current addresses to purchase my report via snail mail. I've checked out the sticky that lists these addresses: TransUnion Consumer Solutions P.O. Box 2000 Chester, PA 19022-2000 Experian NCAC Po Box 9701 Allen, TX 75013 These addresses were posted in Feb of 2005, and I know that the CRA's change their mailing address every 6 months or so.
  10. I found a site dedicated to the Mortgage Service Abuse out there. http://www.msfraud.org I'm still reading over the info there. But to all the people that think all you have to do is pay your mortgage payments on time, and you'll be ok, you are living in a dream world (do a Google search for your MS).
  11. Thanks for the link, I plan on going over that tonight. I also found this: http://www.consumerlaw.org/publications/manuals/foreclosures.shtml I'm sure that part is only a small part of the "BIG" book. I hate to pay $90 for this. I was hoping there was this kind of info out here on the net, like there is in dealing with CRA's and others in the credit world.
  12. I've just bought my first house, and am looking for information on RESPA, and what to look out for concerning Mortgage holder mismanagement of our loan. After doing some research on the company that just acquired our mortgage, I need to prepare myself for mortgage servicer abuses. I've spent a number of hours looking for some kind of guide on what to look out for, even looked for books on the subject. Can't seem to find anything. Can anyone point me to some info on this topic? Thanks
  13. When I have items I wish to dispute, I just write up a letter explaining the problem, and mail it to them CMRRR.
  14. CSC is the company that handles Equifax accounts in Texas. They are legit. And I always ignore everyones "forms" for disputes (the law says they can provide them, it doesn't say I have to use them).
