  1. I just received a copy of my Experian credit report. I can't seem to find where the date of last acitivity is listed for any of the items on my report. (I ordered the report directly thru Experian.) Does anyone know how to find this info on their report? If Experian no longer reports this information, does anyone know how to go about finding out this info? I'm trying to make sure the collection agencies are not re-aging my old accounts. Thanks for any advice/information you can provide!
  2. I recently enrolled in a DMP with a local CCCS office. The counselor stated that Dell Financial Services refuses to work with consumers in a DMP program and he advised that I just leave the account out of my DMP and make payments to Dell myself. Does anyone know if this is true or is the CCCS counselor telling a big one? Dell is charging 30% interest on the account. Does anyone know if they ever reduce the interest rate for economic hardship cases? Thanks!!
  3. Hi all, I am about 130k in student loan debt. If I were to move from US to Canada, can they come after me there? Does anyone have any idea about Canadian credit laws? Also, would my credit reports start over there or does the BIG three have dominance over Canada as well? Thanks!!!
  4. Hey all! Question for anyone who may know this answer: I have a lot of student loans... like over 70k. I am wanting to consolidate them and would like to know if anyone knows of a consolidation company that doesn't report to the three CRAs or at least doesn't report to Equifax, since most places where I live check EQ. Anyone have a suggestion?

    Bumpage

Ok this is strange. I just called EQ and asked to clarify something on my report. The lady I spoke with said that my file was being handled by a "special dept." and that she would need to transfer me. Anyone else getting a similar response from EQ? Am I in trouble? Do I need to enter the credit repair witness protection program?

    Bumpage

I have been trying to do bumpage on EQ but I notice that as soon as things start to bump off, someone or something goes and deletes 50-75 of my soft INQs. Anyone else having this problem? Does this mean I am on some special "list" of EQs? I have used bumpage in the past w/o any problems. This just started last couple of months. Thanks, GardDawg
  7. At this point, if I were you, I would contact your state Attorney General's Office. I would also go ahead and take them to court. Nothing like a lawsuit to sometimes get them to either straighten up or get the matter to drop. If nothing else, I would be a constant thorn in their side. After all, it's the squeeky wheel that gets oiled. Good luck.....

  9. TU somehow merged my report with someone else with a similar name as mine. The other guy's negative stuff was placed onto mine and his creditors started trying to collect from me! TU really needs to get their act together. So, you should check to make sure they haven't inserted credit stuff from someone else's credit report onto yours.
  10. Perhaps one of the readers of this board has gotten a job at Experian and they are seeking out revenge against all those creditors that have done him or her wrong? Seriously though, maybe Asset and EX no longer have an agreement or financial arrangement and so EX took them off everyone's reports? Just guessing here....
  11. I tried doing the western union thing. My Visa card caught it and charged me the cash advance fee, PLUS, Western Union charges an enormous amount of money to wire funds. All in all, a 500 dollar wire ended up costing me about a 100 bucks in wire and cash advance fees.
  12. I wonder how their being a part of BofA will affect things? BofA seems to be a pain the a$$ for getting credit... at least in my experience.
  13. I have Blue and it is great... no problems. (Knock on wood.) It does get a few weird stares from cashiers though. The AMEX Optima works very similar. Anyone know more info about the Optima? Are the two the same kinds of cards, just different looks?
  14. I went to the site and it said there was a $9 fee for getting the CLUE report. Hmmm.... doesn't seem right that you have to pay them just to determine if they are correctly giving others your info. I will definitely try to find out a way to get around this fee... simply for the principle of the matter.
