  2. Received a collections letter from Federal Credit Corp. They are attempting to collect a debt. I gave them a call to ask some questions. They varified my identity by giving me the last four of my social security number. They informed me that the original debt is from Commercial Credit from the year of 1993 and that it was sold sometime later to bank one and then sold recently to federal credit corp. I saved all credit reports from the year of 2000 from the big three credit reporting agencies and pulled them out. I went though them all and there is no account on any report for Commercial Credit or Bank one. The name of Commercial Credit does sound familar, but I cant remember what the debt is for or even if I paid it off completly. They are threatening me to report to credit reporting agencies if I dont pay in 30 days. I am not sure what to do.

  4. How do I calculate how much income will be needed for a car finance loan? Is there a calculator that banks use? I am looking at two cars, a 15,000 and a 20,000 vehicle. I am curious what the "MINIMUM" income the banks will want me to make per year per vehicle, which ever I decide. I will be financing for 4 or 5 years. Sorry if this is the wrong forum
  5. I dont know why, but I find the HouseHold line of cards confusing. Out of all the Household cards, which is the most desirable to have and what is the least? I guess the most desirable card is the hardest to get? HouseHold mastercards have to be paid in full each month?
  6. I was jusat approved for a Circuit City card with a $4000 limit!, however the bad news is that the interest rate is 19.9% and they did not tell me that till after I was approved. I did not buy anything with it and I am thinking of calling them back up and telling them they can shove it. What do you all think? Will it hurt my credit score if I close it too fast? I definatly will look into GM or Corvette instead as I've read that they might have a 9.9 percent interest rate.
  7. Your telling me that if I go to my local Circuit City and apply for one of their cards that I can use it in ANY store? Is there a annual fee? What is the interest rate?
  8. Thanks, but I should have mentioned that I am in need of a Visa card, not a store credit card. Already have Best Buy. Thank you anyhow.
  9. My free PrivacyGuard account ended. How can I get another for free?
  10. Thats what you get when companies hire $6.00 per hour, barely able to speak english assholes from 3rd world nations. THEY DON'T CARE.
  11. If the Household cards are good, which one is the best to get? GM, Corvette etc....? I am hoping for no annual fee, lowest interest rates and I need to have a balance transfer. I currently have a 700 plus real FICO score on all reports. EQ = 740 and the rest are just over 700. However, I have a 5 year old charge off and have one or two 3 year old paid collections, so I am not sure which I will qualify for. Please advise me of the best non-predatory card for me from Household, or if you know of another card that is better than Household, please feel free to advise me of that also.
  12. Thats funny you advised this. We contacted upper management of the credit department of the Jewlers. THEY DON'T CARE. They act as though they are just trying to put in their 8 hour day and go home. Everytime we call back, there is no notes in the computer and they don't remember any conversation. One time a lady did help us and promised to fix everything. The next time we called, we found that she is no longer working for the company and that THERE IS NO NOTE IN THE COMPUTER. We even told them that we have copies of the check showing the date that they cleared. They said......"Well it might have cleared your bank account, but we did not post it till...
  13. If a payment is 7-10 days late, can they report it as 30 late on a credit report? Can they add up each (so called) 30 late payment and put 60 or 90 day late on reports? My wife made a few late payments to Ben Bridges Jewlers. The payments were maybe 7 - 10 days late, but NEVER 30. Each time, they dinged her as a 30 late payment on her reports. Now when we recently checked it, it shows 90 days Late, but current. We were never late 90 days! The only thing I can think is that they ADDED up all the 30 late payments.
