  1. I agree with you. Charles is a very friendly person and seemed to go out of his way to make sure I understood everything. I did not intend to imply that I did not want to do business with Charles. I just found it easier to use a broker that is local to me. My broker's office was 1 mile from my old residence. Either way, I highly recommed Charles to anyone who wants an honest person to take care of their mortgage needs. p.s. Charles, if you are reading this, thank you for all that you did for me.
  2. res0nzy7 I initially contacted firstsource and he said I would have no problem getting a loan. Working with Charles would of been fine if we weren't 2000 miles away from eachother. I decided to work with a local Mortgage broker who also owns a real estate brokerage. He helped me find a house that I could afford and one in which the seller would credit me back closing costs, so I had almost no out of pocket expenses. Then he had one of his mortgage counslers find me a home loan. I got an 80/20 2 year ARM stated income/verified assets loan at 8% on the first and 11% on the second. I closed on the 28th of February with no problems. If you need help, let me know because my mortgage broker was great and I would love to be able to send him some business. The process was very easy. Let me know if I can help, Albatross
  3. Thanks for the input. I got a hold of Charles aka "firstsource" and he is working on it for me. Hopefully it all works out.
  4. My Fico score is EQ-633 EX-640. I am Not sure about TU, but I would say the 633 is my middle score. I am Self employed. Income $35,000 per year according to this years tax statement. I have a few charge offs 5 years ago. Wanting to buy a house at 100% financed. Loan approx. $80-100K. Perfect rental history for at least 6 years. No lates or collections on utilities. Current rent is $690. I have approximately 6 positive tradelines with at least 12 months history. 1 car loan $18,000 from Bank of America, Bank of America credit card ($4000CL), Household CC $2500CL, I live in Jacksonville, Florida and would like to work with Charles if you are interested. Either way, I am hoping someone will give me the assurance I need to go ahead and do this. I have been wanting to buy a house for a number of years and kept putting it off because of fear of rejection.
  5. Bank of America's PrivacySource does not allow daily pulls any longer. I just tried and it didn't allow me. I got a little suspicious because I expected this to happen. So I searched around the site for an answer and Ttis is the message I found on the PrivacySource site. "Please note that you can only order a new credit report once every 30 days. If you have ordered a credit report in the past 30 days, you cannot order a new one. You may view your existing report at any time. After you click on the GO! button, you will see an option to View my 3 Bureau Report, and Score(s). If you are allowed to order a new report, you will see an option, under the Request Reports heading, displayed as 3B Credit Report w/ 3B Score." Anyway, I thought I would share this with you all, so no one would be fooled into buying their product and wasting their money.
  6. So then the payment to the credit card company via a credit management company would constitute a regular payment? I wonder if the collection company (Midland) who bought this account would have information regarding that payment. I DV'ed them and they sent me back copies (to my FLorida address) of 2 final bills from the creditor. Does the 500 dollar deposit applied to my account count as a payment? If so, could the clock start ticking when they applied it? I am thinking that they sued my in Indiana because they knew I didn't live there and probably wouldn't travel there for the court date and expected to get a default judgement. They probably don't have any evidence relating to the account. They didn't serve process to my Florida address. They left it on the doorstep of my old Indiana address. Funny thing, they pulled my credit report two weeks prior to filing suit against me. My credit report clearly states my current address as being in FLorida. Divemedic, you said You are not clear of the Florida SOL, however. Depending on whether they can make the case of your debt being based on a written instrument, you may be looking at either 4 or 5 years. Are you saying the credit card account could be either a 4 or 5 year SOL? I thought the CC account is considered an open account and constituted a 4 year SOL in Florida. It seems to me that there is case reference regarding the 4 years SOL on open accounts.
  7. I've got a situation I hope someone can help me with. I had an account with a well known high risk credit card company from 1997 to 2001 when it was closed and charged off. I last made a direct on-time (not late) payment to the company via check in april of 2001. I was having financial troubles at the time and signed up with a credit management company to help me pay this and a few other accounts off. I made a payment to the credit management company in june of 2001 and they in-turn paid the credit card company a payment of 140.00 on my account. I then withdrew from the credit management company and decided I would try to pay this debt on my own. I never did pay another penny to them. In Sept. of 2001 the credit card company closed the account and applied the $500 deposit (that I put down to open the account), they applied it to the account (as payment I suppose). My question is "when does the clock start on the SOL"? I am asking this because I was sued in Sept of 2004 in Indiana by a collection company that alledgedly bought the debt. I don't live in Indiana and haven't for about 9 years. The collection company (MCM) knew I didn't live in Indiana when they filed suit with the Indiana court (I can prove it). I wasn't properly served. I live in florida. I got a default judgement against me in Indiana and just found out about it this week. I am going to try to have it vacated. I am just a little concerned that if it is vacated in Indiana, the collection company might try to sue me in FLorida. I don't want to do this until I know for sure the SOL is up in the state of Florida. Then if they do try to sue me in FL I will use the SOL as a defense. I would certainly appreciate help with this. Thanks
  8. I was approved for the UP card with 2 unpaid CO's (credit cards) and 2 other accounts that were showing paid but 90+days late max delinquency. My fico was 635 at the time and they approved me with a 1800 cl. However, I just applied for the Corvette card two days ago with a 624 fico and was declined because of unpaid CO's. Don't know why they approved me for the UP card and not the vette card. Good luck!
  9. Does anyone know what kind of score will get you approved for these two cards. I was approved two weeks ago for the UnionPlus card and would like to apply for the Corvette card also. My EQ fico is around 630. Is their cirteria score driven?
  10. ok thanks for the info. Sounds like it might take a bit of work but surely it will all work out in the end. Do you know if it is possible to get a split file with the other CRA's? Also, how do you get a split file? Is it just through excessive inquiries? If that is the case then I guess I won't be able to pull my report for a while.
  11. I think I have a split file with EQ. Maybe someone can help me out here. Is it a good thing or a bad thing to have a split file? Here's the deal. I just pulled my PG and on my file EQ there are only two tradelines (2 crapone CO's), no inquiries, an old address, and my PG score went down 26 points. Yesterday my PG score was 609, today it is 583. There should be around 25 tradelines (3 bad) and 3 inquiries. I am not sure what to do about this. Should I just leave it alone hoping that this will help me re-establish my credit rating on EQ or should I call EQ and tell them what has happened. I would imagine all the creditors will eventually update my info and the accts will re-appear. Maybe I can call the GOOD creditors and explain what has happened and have them report back to my EQ file. I have worked so hard to get EQ from 13 bad accts. to 3 and hate this ****. So here is the recap. EQ before: 25 tradelines, 3 inquiries, FICO 630, PG 609 2 CO's, 1 acct with 3 90 day lates. EQ after: 2 tradelines, 2 CO's, no inquiries, old address that I thought was deleted
  12. Do you get scores from all three bureaus when you order the one dollar for three months deal from PG? It seems to me that you only get one score.
  13. I was wondering if creditors (in particular AMEX) will pull my credit report if I ask to be an autorized user on someone's account. I am considering asking my parents to let me piggy back on their 20 year old AMEX card.
  14. Thank you all. Hopefully these cards will help me get my score up over that hump. I guess it will take a few months of on-time payments for that to happen.
  15. I could be wrong, but as I understand it, the promise to pay does not extend the statute of limitations on a time barred debt. Meaning that the debt must be past the statute of limitations (time barred) before you pay it, for it not to reset the SOL. If I am wrong, please let me know because I have two accounts that I am planning on paying when the SOL runs out. I am going to use it as leverage to remove these CO's.
