  1. This was the first test of the Nobama Administration. If he were not president, the pirates would never have even attempted to hijack a US flagged ship.

I finally gained .000009% respect for Nobama for authorizing the SEALS to do their thing.

One thing is for sure - a US flagged vessel will never be the target of pirates again.

The US flagged liberty has since been attacked. Looks like that prophecy was as off as the first one ("If he were not president, the pirates would never have even attempted to hijack a US flagged ship").

  2. I guess some people don't have a sense of humor, this NASCAR joke had to be withdrawn and an apology issued

A good April Fool's Day story makes a reader think, "Is this true?" A bad one this year forced one magazine to yank a story from its Web site and issue an apology.

Automotive publication Car and Driver did just that after "reporting" on April Fool's Day that the White House told GM and Chrysler they would have to shut down their NASCAR programs.

"In a move sure to spark outrage, the White House announced today that GM and Chrysler must cease participation in NASCAR at the end of the 2009 season if they hope to receive any additional financial aid from the government," said the publication's fake story. "A complete withdrawal from America's premier racing series is expected to save more than $250 million between GM and Chrysler, a substantial amount considering the drastic measures being implemented elsewhere."

The site later pulled its story and replaced it with a page that read, "Car and Driver has a proud tradition of April Fool's Day jokes stretching back 30 years. We regret if this year's went too far."

NASCAR and the car companies in question had no official comment.

"I've been in this business more than 30 years and I have never seen a story so irresponsible," Denny Darnell, a public relations representative for Dodge's NASCAR program, said in a personal statement.

The hoax was posted at a particularly contentious time for the two American car manufacturers. Both have received billions of dollars in aid from the U.S. government and are currently evaluating ways to cut costs, which could alter or put an end to many of their contracts, including their NASCAR deals. And a day before the hoax, GM CEO Rick Wagoner resigned from his post due to pressure from the White House.

  3. Just in time for 2012.

Depression, huge spending bill, massive national debt, no win situation in the middle east, nuclear Iran, China and Russia out-competing us for resourses and diplomatic influence, near civil war in Mexico, and now states declaring soverignty.

    Better stock up on popcorn.

It's even getting better as time goes on.

  4. And I'm not talking about the luck of the Irish........

I'm talking about the pollen! It's everywhere! This yucky yellow green crap covers our driveways, sidewalks, cars, etc. Everywhere!

And I feel awful! I can't stop sneezing, my throat is so sore, and I have this nasty nasty taste in my mouth!

    Make it go away! :twisted::twisted::twisted::twisted::twisted::twisted:

Did you try calling a whaaaambulance?

  5. Where you have you been mister?

I hated hated hated Ring of Fire. But I love love love Tenacious D. I think Adam has a good voice but I can tell he's starting to become really impressed with himself.

You were in an altered state huh? Why am I not surprised?

My computer has had an extremely slow internet connection lately for some reason and doesnt load the page. I lose patience waiting and just turn it off.

Aparently I wasn't the only one in an altered state, Paula musta had some good stuff considering she advised the blind guy to get off the piano and do some dancing.

I started out thinking ring of fire sucked but by the time it was over I really liked it, but I liked dirty diana too so what do I know.

  7. Since it's apparent that the 10th amendment has been around forever... I'm surprised no one has asked the question of why states are just NOW started to declare sovereignty. I wonder why.

I'm thinking this has been done before which led to the civil war. Is there a difference between declarng sovereigty and declaring independence?

But if the law is itself clearly unjust, and the lawmaking process is not designed to quickly obliterate such unjust laws, then the law deserves no respect — break the law." - Henry David Thoreau
