  1. I would call AFNI, Inc. and let them know that you have viewed your credit report and it has not been taked off like promised. Give the person's name that you have talked to and see where it goes from there. <--IMO-->
  2. I've had a phone cut off with Verizon, (not verizon wireless) and I'm continuing to make small payments until it's paid in full. Just recently, I checked my credit report and there is a CA called AFNI on there for my verizon bill. I ignored it, filling I was in the right for continuing to pay verizon. Well, finally I call Verizon and ask what the deal is and they tell me they can't do anything, I need to take the matter up with AFNI now. I asked the customer service rep @ verizon why wasn't I notified that it was going into collections and they had no response. I emailed the CEO, President and
  3. BANKFIRST isn't the OC. Euforaprepaid is. They sent it to Bankfirst, so I that is why I DV'd Bankfirst
  4. I need a response if you can. Would really help me out alot. At this point I am stuck!!
  5. Well, guess I have to reply because I don't want them to think this is frivolous...But what do I give them?
  6. After I DV'd these people, they received it on March 22, 2005. I got a letter today from Bankfirst dated March 22, 2005. (talk about getting to things in a hurry). Anyway, this is what the letter stated. Dear (ME) BANKFIRST is in receipt of your recent correspondence regarding a BANKFIRST Action Card account. Our records indicate that a BANKFIRST account was opened in the name of (ME). In order to establish that this is not your account, you need to provide a copy of your social security card and proof of your residential mailing address since January 1998. Upon receipt of these documents,
  7. Yes, I have it in my archives from my cell phone. Do you have any clue as to how far I can actually go to get these people to delete the inquiry and to stop calling. Obviously the DV letter didn't work because I guess they aren't a CA (Yet...probably will pop on there in like a month or so)
  8. I have a Hard Inquiry on my CR from Old Canal Financial. I'm trying to get rid of my inquires, but this guy from this company keeps calling me and leaving messages saying I MUST call him about a suit that had my name on it. Even though it's not listing in my credit report execpt under Inquires, I DV him. No more than a two weeks go by and he leaves another message on my cellphone saying, "This is NOT a third party call, nor is this a COLLECTION AGENCY!!, you need to call this office ASAP!!) I thought that was weird even though he obviosly got the letter that I asked for no phone communication

  10. I have sent SCA Collections(anyone delt with these idiots?) a DV letter. They came back with a itemized bill...I said no can do, beside, the SOL is up, stop reporting it now.....Disputed with all 3 CRAs and it came back as verified...Sent CRA second dispute letter saying "no way, nonverified debt to me" sent them my proof...told them to reinvestigate... 45 days later..Nothing! Seems like both dropped me like a bad habit..What now? How long do I give SCA to come back with a second letter? How long does the CRAs have to reinvestigate.? Man....No contact from either but still reporting it as ve

  12. I have an account that is now past the statue of Limitations ( I think). I was making reqular payments on my morgage and became deliquent in 98, I caught up but fell back in payments and became deliquent again in 2001. My question is, from what date does the Statue of Limitations start, would it be 98 or 2001? Confused because I did catch up in payments but fell behind again! Thanks you all
  13. I wouldn't tell them I have disputed it until it comes back from the CRAs as verified. Then, the CRA's and the CA (I feel) would be in violation. How can the CRA verify it if the CA didn't verify it to you. I would just dispute with the CRA and wait to see what they say. <-------Just my opinion
