  1. I spent a long time disputing negs. I have no negative accounts or inquiries reporting now. Unfortunately, the only positive trades(2) showing up are from years ago and they are long closed. Should I start with a secured or can anyone recommend a standard card. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
  2. By searching these boards the last few months I have been able to get negatives(all were very old) deleted off my credit reports except an LVNV tradeline on Experian. I dv'd LVNV CMRRR on 10-14-05, received the green card, and never heard anything from them. I disputed with Experian again at the same time and it came back "previously investigated". The DOLA on the original tradeline(1st USA) was 03/99. That tradeline fell off in the 2nd round of bureau disputes. For some reason the DOLA on LVNV is 10/02(I assume that is when they purchased). I 'm not sure whether to DV LVNV again, send Experian an MOV letter, or send Experian a copy of the dv letter and green card and basically tell them it is unverified info. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the help!
  3. If you don't have any mortgage lates since filing the ch13, and your ch13 payment history is good, you may qualify for a buyout within 6-12 mos. The one big factor will be your LTV(loan-to-value). If the appraised value of your home is at least 20-25% higher than what you owe on the mortgage and ch13, you should be in good shape!!
  4. Generally after about 60-90 days the tradeline should appear.
  5. If you don't want a pre-pay penalty on an Alt/A or B/C loan your rate will be a little bit higher(usually 50bps or 1/2 point in laymens terms). Firstsource's advice is the best. An Alt/A or B/C lender usually doesn't care about collections much over 24 or 36 months old. The lenders underwrite fast and if you have all your docs ready you should be in good shape for January. Most of the lenders have seen a recuction in submissions lately as well. Paying anything on that card will just reset the SOL and you'll have to deal with it for that much longer.
  6. He is up for re-election in 11-06. LOL.
  7. I live in the state of Florida. The attorney general of my state has begun investigating Experian(not that anything will ever become of it). His office of economic crime and fraud is investigating them for FCRA violations. Experian has not responded as of yet.
