  1. My ex wife is supposed to pay for this loan as agreed in our alimony. However she did not honor her agreement this month. I found out exactly as it hit the 30 day mark and made payment immediately. There are only a few payment left until the car is paid off. It is in both of our names as it was purchased 5 years ago. Do you guys think ill get hit on my report or does it need to go 31 before i get the hit. Also, is there anything i can do preventatively to keep this from showing up.. Any advice is appreciated, as my credit is very good and this would really hurt me.
  2. I think the title says it all, With hard work and perseverence it will pay off. And by the time you get here you will now know how to use responsibly! Thanks credit info center!!
  3. If you have paid an account in full, you pretty much have no leverage. If disputing with the CRA dosent work, pretty much your only shot is getting a letter on the desk of someone sympathetic to your issue. in my case my father really did pass away and cause my later. I printed off the newspaper death notice and sent it in with my sincere request for goodwill on my account. In my case it worked.
  4. I wrota a letter to GMAC expressing my situation in my own words, and included in there a print out of my fathers death notice from the paper. After 2 weeks my lates have been removed from my reports and i got a call today explaining that they were changing the reporting to be positive. Also The woman at GMAC gave me her personal number , said she submitted a manual change to the bureaus, and also said to call her if i had any issues. THANK YOU GMAC... it just takes getting a letter onto the right desk!
  5. Thanks for the advice! I have sent goodwill letters to every GMAC address i could find. Addressed to the executive consumer relations office. I included a newspaper article showing of my fathers untimely passing and i hope it will land on the desk of someone with some sympathy.
  6. Should i try and use the goodwill letter before i try and get an attorney involved about the innaccurate reportings? I suppose that if i was going to try and get some kind of goodwill i should probably do it before i get serious with them huh?
  7. What crawled up his butt had babies and made him leave and delete his old credit repair primer?
  8. What is the best stragety for getting a late removed. My father passed and he was making the payments on my truck. By the time i sent in the payoff it had gont to 60 days and tanked my score 100 points. whats the best way to go about this. I have disputed and it came backi as verified. But the thing is its reported diffrently between the diffrent credit bureaus. One shows only one 1 30 other shows aa 30 and a 60 so they arent the same. any ideas?
  9. I have disputed with the CRA, and it has come back verified a few times now. I have disputed with the OC, but not in writing. I really am after getting these lates off my report, and i figured these innacurate reportings would be able to be used for that.. On 2 of the reports, it shows late for 2 months, on one report it shows as late for one month. And current status as pays 30-60 days late.
  10. Is it a violation for an OC to list a closed accounts current status as the following.. Current Status: PAYS 31-60 DAYS when it is paid in full and closed. all of my other closed accoutns say pays as agreed even though some of them had lates on them Any advice on what action to take to help get the lates off of this tradeline using this as leverage?

  12. I just wanted to bring this to the top so i can possibly get a little more guidance. I have never sued anyone so this is all new to me. Should i send an intent to sue letter to borh the CRA and the OC? Or just go ahead and hit them with violations?
  13. Hi leadhead, Yes i did dispute this information with the credit bureaus and it was verified as complete and accurate. Is it common for them to move these things to federal court instead of just deletin the late payments? Should i fire off an intent to sue letter first? Would it matter if its on attorney letterhead? Thanks Shane
  14. I pulled the trans union report as well, and its odd. Under the payment history it shows as never late. All green and under the 30-60 90 day lates it all says 0. BUt under status it says 30 days late. even though its a closed account. Any advice?
