  1. My mortgage payment for May was due on May1 2007.The month of May has 31 days. If I pay my mortgage on May 31, 2007 does anybody know if it will be current or will it be considered thirty days late and go on my credit report as late for the month of May 2007 because I paid it on the 31st of the month not the 30th. Thanks for your help. Penman
  2. I didn't know that I posted this thread in different forums. If I did could you direct them to me. Thank you. Penman
  3. I had a 60 day late and a 30 day on my credit reports in the year 2005. These are wrong I was not late. I sent my documention to the lender and said they will "suppress" these two lates. The lady I was talking with from the lender said this would not hurt my credit score. I have never heard of this. Is it true that a suppression of these two items on the credit reports is as good as a removal? Thanks Penman
  4. I am in the process of helping my sister refinance a mortgage loan. She is approved for a mortgage loan but I want to remove her from my credit cards (2) as an authorized user. My utilization is too high which is hurting our credit scores. The cards are relatively new- each about a year old. As I understand it the only way to have these tradelines removed from her credit report is to have her report them as “not mine”. Is that correct? Also, if she disputes them today would that hurt the refinance of her loan, which is scheduled to close in the next two weeks. Thanks for your help Penman
  5. I have the same judgement listed twice on my experian credit report. The judgment is paid but because it is listed twice is the second reporting of the same judgement hurting my experian score. My experian score is 620 and I am trying to raise it to refinace a mortgage. Thanks for your help as always. Penman
  6. I am looking to refinance my home. I came across a lender Amerisave. Their rates are vey good without of a lot of closing costs. They are an internet lender our of Atlanta, Georgia. Has anybody had any experience with them- the rep that I am working with is straight forward with their programs. Thanks. Penman
  7. Is the balance on your credit card as of the date of the Statement Closing Date is the amount that the credit card issuer reports to the CRA's for that month. For example my statment closing date is the 25th of the month. So my balance owed on that date is the one reported to the CRA's. Not the balance at the end of the month. The reason I ask so that I can keep the balances low that are reported to the Cra's. Thanks
  8. My sister is in the process of doinga refinance of a mortgage. On her credit report(EQUIFAX) it shows her as a joint user of a credit card. She has never had a chase card but her husband did. He passed away a few years ago but it shows up on her credit report as a charge of. She does not recall ever signing for this card as a joint user. Her husband may have put her on it as a authorized user. The date of last activity shows as January 2002 so in here california the sol will be up in January. My question is should this be disputed now as "not mine" or disupute it because on the entry in the credit report it does not show any account number. Thanks for any help. Penman

  10. Just wondering during my credit rebuilding I have obtained three cards all mastercards. Just wondering why I have not been offered a visa card. Is a visa harder to get then a master card. Just curious. Penman
  11. The last payment on this account was in 1997. It was part of the Chapter 13 filed in 1997 and it was dismissed in 1998. Penman
  12. Last Saturday I was served with a summons to appear in court and bring my financial information. These are the facts of this credit card: 1. I had a wells fargo credit card in 1996. The date of last activity on this card was August of 1996. 2. I filed a chapter 13 in May of 1997.This account was included in my chapter 13. 3. The chapter 13 was dismissed in July of 1998. 4. In 2003 I was sued regarding this account by National Loan Recovieries. the orginal creditor was Wells Fargo Bank. 5. I do not remember being served in this case. The collection agent got a default judgement against me. 6. I checked my credit reports and this account does show up as an judgement against me. The amount is $3,900. I was wondering if this account is included in my Chapter 13 and I am making payments into the plan does this count as activity and my date of last activity is not when I paid Wells Fargo Bank directly? If my date of last activity was in 1996 and they have this judgement against me can I go to court and have them validate this claim? Also, if I was able to work out a settlement with this collection agency should I ask their attorney that as part of the settlement that I want them to vacate the judgement so that it can come of my credit report? Also, did they have the right to sue me in that the account was so old? I would appreciate any thoughts on how I should proceed? Should I get an attorney and try to fight the orginal lawsuit or should I negioate a settlement and what should I offer? Thanks Penman
  13. I have judgement recorded against me in 2004. It is for $3,800. I am going to settle with them but I have a question. Even though this judgement is over two years old if the collection agent agrees can this judgement be vacated and removed from my credit file? Also if it cannot be vacated can the collection agent ask the cra's to delete it even though it still shows up on the public records? I live in California. Thanks Penman
