  1. I started with this website early 2007 and I wanted to thank everyone for helping me make huge strides with my credit. I still have a looooong way to go, but here is my progress. JAN 2007 - FAKO EQ - 452 TU - 542 EX - 520 NOV 2007 - FAKO EQ - 544 TU - 574 EX - 592 I also came to this website having 2 HSBC credit cards of 300 CL each and a Macy's of 300 CL. I now have..... HSBC - 600 ORCHARD - 600 FIRST PREMIER - 300 CROWN JEWLERS - 1500 KAY JEWLERS - 1500 MACY'S - 1000 TARGET - 500 HOOTERS MC - 500 BEST BUY MC - 300 Now, I am working on Asset Acceptance that is past SOL, but 1 yr, 3 mos before deletion on EQ. Again, thanks to everyone........
  2. I DV'd EQ three seprate occassions since Jan 07. Each time I was sent the "this item has been verified that it belongs to you". So I sent another written dispute CMRRR stating I was disputing the Valididty of the debt and requesting back-up informaton, from both the CRA and CA. The longest SOL is 5 years in FL. This would make it out of SOL by 10 months. The DOFD as shown on my CR by CA is 01/2007. However the OC on an older report shows the DOFD as 02/2002. As far as proof is concerned, I do not have the orginal paperwork, (Ex-husband, nasty divorce, alot of bad marks on my credit , etc.) I have requested all of the back-up info, but nothing. I only reported it to the BB, beacuse I read other pots RE Asset and it worked for others.
  3. What's a sticky? Duh, I figured it out. But can you help?
  4. I thought maybe I put it in the wrong place. I am trying to learn.
  5. I am writing to find out if anyone can help with Assett Acceptance? I have searched the posts for Asset and noticed thay are a hard sell. For some background, I first saw the CA on my report in Jan 07. I was checking my credit, getting ready to buy a house. And there it was, no letters, no warning, they bought a debt from Provdian from 2002. I immediately DV'd and was sent a screen print from their computer showing OC, amt, etc. I turned around and sent a 2nd request for DV and a screen print from my computer stating that I did not owe anything. No response. I spoke with a manager in their Brandon, FL office in April and I was told they did not have to give me any more back-up information than they had provided. I have been able to get the item removed from all but EQ, but I noticed that they are reporting the DOFD as January 2007. This is re-aging right? I filed a complaint with the BBB in their area tonight, but I am unsure where to go from here. Do I have grounds for suit? Also, I didn't notice the re-aging until after I filed my complaint....I am still learning. Thanks to anyone who can help.
  6. Has anyone had any experience in dealing with Asset Acceptance Corp? My ex-husband and I filed BR in 1997, but we "re-affirmed" a debt with Providian Bancorp. We, however, never made a payment to them. I saw the Providian fall off of my report a year ago, but Asset Acceptance showed up as a "New" debt in January 2007. I checked the SOL it is 7 years for Florida, I am trying to buy a home............ Incidentally, I have DV'd twice, sent copies of the screen print they sent me with my name, address, and Providian account # along with copies of the original DV & the CRR to all three CRA's. At what point can I take them to court?
