  1. They were reaging on 2 of the 3 credit bureaus. They said they would delete but stated that the debt was valid and showed that I lived at an address in 2001. They reaged the account to 2006. Oh well at least they will delete, Experian kept validating then stating they couldn't give me any information because it was a medical bill. AT&T?!?!
  2. I've read the CA updates when you pay and it's better not to when it's coming off in a year. I'm thinking it will update as your last payment and reset the amount of time they can report. I may be wrong so I'm looking forward to see how others respond.
  3. That is very good to know if they try to sue now. Thanks so much.
  4. Is it different for a chapter 13? A CA reported on my CR on 4/2007 for a debt from 2001 that I was never notified. My attorney basically said that if they attempt to collect we would have to reopen the case that was discharged in 2005 and it could be very expensive.
  5. put Portfolio Recovery into the search here. I've found a lot of answers to my questions by doing that. Sorry not much help here. DH has them on his CR too
  6. 100% agree onto FTC! Thanks for the tips everyone
  7. Does he share any good tips on how to tell them to pound dirt?
  8. Did they list a phone number on the "welcome letter" I've looked the numbers up online that I couldn't find my name.
  9. Well that was worthless. I'm glad they took the time to read that the information came from the CB and Cavalry never responded to the request. I wonder how they reviewed my request if they didn't read it. Complaint ID#: ******** Business Name: Cavalry Thank you for contacting the Better Business Bureau regarding your credit report. 10. I called them about another debt Kevin, I never sent a letter about the debt they verbally told me I owed. They reported this debt to the CB without sending me information on the debt they told me I owed when I called about a medical bill. They have my address because I gave it to them to send me the proof of debt they said they would send along with a bill I had to pay in 30 days. It never came. I still stand by my original statement. Wake each dog up slowly and not all at once. Oh yeah and like everyone says, never call!!!!
