  1. I am having trouble with an CA account that I am trying to settle. I disputed the account numerous times to no avail, that's when I decided to try for a PFD. I wrote a PFD letter to the CA that included removing the account from my CR's, having no negative mention of the account, .etc....... However the letter i recieved from the CA had no mention of deleting or not reporting to the CRA. It only said that they would accept $350 on a $700 debt. So of course I did not send the money order. The problem is on my CR they have changed the status of the account to " paying under a partial payment pl

  5. Capital One is having a promotion. Call 877-513-9959 and tell them that "you want to make Capital One the #1 card in your wallet". (you probably don't have to embarrass yourself by saying the exact phrase...lol) They will give you a CLI if there is one available. I got a bump from 300 to 600 and hoping for my automatic increase this statement.

  7. The only service that gives you unlimited score updates is Scorewatch from myfico, however this is only for you EQ score. All of the other services,I use True Credit, that gives you daily reports and scores are not true FICO scores...only an estimation of your true scores.
  8. Yes, you can apply directly for the Target Visa, but if you don't get that then you should get the Target Red card which converts after some time. Win-Win situation.
  9. I am currently an authorized user on a card that has been open since 1999 with a perfect payment history, and a CL of $24,000.The card carries a balance of about $12,000. I am currently in credit repair mode with scores ranging from 620-692. My question is would it help my scores to remove this account. I ask that because I know that current balances owed weigh heavily when computing scores. I have about 4 new accounts open within the past 8 months with the highest CL being $750. So I don' have that much of a postitive history. Simply asked is this authorized user account doing more good or ba
