  1. Here's the latest update: I've been away for a few months, and have had a couple of hiccups on my credit repair journey. However, I'm back rejuvenated......In the last week I have had some successes: *8 Inquiries removed from Equifax *Received an email from Applied Bank Card that a collection account is going to be removed. Just waiting to see it FAKO Scores 12/10/2007 TU: 626 EX: 580 EQ: 606
  2. I just search the forum for a specific creditor/CA. Most of the time someone has already listed an email address that they used to send a goodwill letter. Then, I just follow suit.....I must say that this website is great because I have gotten so much advice reading through the forums, and I've been able to turn it into results. Thanks, everyone for your time, and great advice
  3. Thanks Gravity357......I sent out an email on Monday 12/3, and I got a response back today from Applied Bank...... Your correspondence to Applied Bank has been referred to me for review and response. Applied Bank has instructed the consumer reporting agencies to delete the above-referenced account from your credit files. Please allow the consumer reporting agencies 60 days to update their information. Sincerely, Laurie Abel Executive Resolution Specialist
  4. On Monday 12/3/2007 I sent out 3 goodwill letters, and emails. One company (Applied Bank Card) has already sent me back an email stating that the credit bureaus have been contacted to remove the derogatory account from my credit report. Here's the email I received today: Your correspondence to Applied Bank has been referred to me for review and response. Applied Bank has instructed the consumer reporting agencies to delete the above-referenced account from your credit files. Please allow the consumer reporting agencies 60 days to update their information. Sincerely, Laurie Abel Executive Resolution Specialist The ones left remaining: Capital One, Wells Fargo. I'll keep everyone posted
  5. This morning I watched the Senate affairs subcommittee on investigations for the credit card industry practices. I found it too be quite interesting to see which credit card companies that are involved and not involved in the risk based pricing on credit cards.(Raising interest rate of customers based on credit score, utilization , payment history (lates, length of time minimum pymts are made). Risk Based Pricing? Yes - Discover, Bank of America No - Citibank, Capital One Here are the names of those that spoke before the committee. Hopefully, this could be useful for some, if you need a contact name: Discover Financial Services - Roger Hoschschild, Chief Operating Officer Bank of America - Bruce Hammond, Card Services President Capital One Financial Services - Ryan Schneider, Card Services President
  6. Thanks for the information. I sent an email to Jason over the weekend, and he replied by 9:00 am this morning. Hopefully, they will remove it...I'll keep everyone posted
  7. In checking my credit report I have a student loan that has a balance of about $50.00 left before it is paid off......Yeah. But, the account has been reported late for the last 5 months, when I called to see what was going on with the account. I found out that my payment was $50.63, but my husband was only sending $50.0 0 (which was on time), but because it was not for the full amount -.63 they didn't roll the due date, it was not considered paid until the following month when the next payment was made......it became a vicious cycle. So, this is impacting my score because it is current delinquencies. Does anyone have any advice of what I can do?
  8. Just wanted to share....I sent an email to Mike Barrist (?), and he forwarded my email to Lisa Signore of NCO. I just received a letter today stating that they have requested to delete their listing on all 3 of the credit agencies. I checked my credit report and it is all gone. Now I'm down to the following derogatories: T/U - 3 Exp - 4 Eq - 6
  9. Just wanted to give another update from my last post. After all of the deletions occured on Equifax my score jumped up 64 points. Today, I got another score watch alert and it jumped up another 14 points. In the last month my score has jumped 78 points............
  10. First, of all I just wanted to say that CIC is absolutely wonderful. I have learned so much in the last few weeks about credit repair, the importance of utilization, and etc. I've been telling all of my friends, and family members that I thought would find all of this information useful. Everyone has gotten bitten by CIC bug. I'm on here daily, a couple of times of day to see what tidbit I can learn and apply. Speaking of application, that is the key you must take what you learn and try it out. Trust me the advice has worked. I've used the site to be able to get some new credit cards to help me rebuild (Macys, Walmart) my credit and I'm well on my way. I wanted to document some of my successes so that I wouldn't forget and maybe encourage anyone who has not tried some of the tips to JUST DO IT. TransUnion - I've disputed some items on my credit report and awaiting the investigation results (FAK0 07/2007 - 611, FICO - 586) Experian - I've disputed some items on my credit report: (FAKO 523, FICO - 586) **1 Item was removed **4 items remains on report (Now I'm preparing my MOV) Equifax - I've disputed some items on my credit report (FAKO - 537, FICO 463) **4 items removed **4 items remains on report (Now I'm preparing my MOV) Eventhough I had 4 items removed it only affected by score by 14 points (FAKO). I'm awaiting to get an score watch alert from myfico, and hopefully it has helped my actual FICO score a little more that 14 points, but at this point I'll take what I can get. UPDATE: Equifax FICO went up 64 points now its 527 Up...Up....and Away to 750 I go.......
