  1. You are not the only one this happens too.
  2. Thanks for that reference. Fixed me right up!
  3. I also have IE shutting down. I found that I could open a secure site like Pay Pal (just bring up initial screen) or my bank, then go to TC and it would load. Don't have a clue as to why.
  4. Extra_Credit You are simply going to have to decide how much value that new job holds. No one here and I mean no one can predict what the JDB will do. They can only estimate based on experience. If, in your mind, getting the job has the highest priority, then it is simply a matter of doing what you need to do to avoid having the JDB screw you up. Can you DV the JDB? Yes. Will that make this go away? Doubtful. Can you hold off and build up violations and sue them? Sure. Can they sue you and you fight them on chain of custody? Yes on that. Is there any guranty you will win? No. Ask yourself the question, is fiighting this JDB on principle worth compromising the new job? It's a crappy choice to have to make but like divorce, sometimes you just have to chose. You can still send out a PFD and work back and forth with them for a compromise.
  5. imawriter said: Thats DC-2 not DC-3: http://www.dca.ca.gov/publications/legal_guides/dc_2.pdf you have to google to find it. It's for those living in California
  6. If I understand your comment correctly: The OC's TL and RJM TL (a JDB in this case) are seperate and tracked seperately. The Aug 9, 2005 date is the date you opened the account with the OC. That date is true for the OC's TL The Oct 6, 2007 date is the opening date for the RJM (collections) TL. That date has nothing to do with the OCs TL. RJMs DOFD should be the same as the OCs DOFD. DOLA on OC most likely would map back to CO date. DOLA for RJM may reflect your last payment or could reflect monthly interest added. May or may not reflect DOFD. Point being, some fields will track back to OC, some will not.
  7. For the people here to help you better, please answer the questions from here first: http://www.debt-consolidation-credit-repair-service.com/forums/showthread.php?t=242744 Then, read the sticky threads (top of list) from here: http://www.debt-consolidation-credit-repair-service.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=177
  8. Not so sure i would say scare tactic. The question I would ask, is when you disputed with the CRA, did you say not mine? I have also noticied this response being posted frequently. I suspect it is the latest CA response tactic, or ploy if you will, to a not mine dispute with a CRA.
  9. The FCRA only addreeses the CRA response time. CRA to CA relationship would be a business agreement between them.
  10. This does present a good question though. Do CA's from outside of the USA have to follow the FDCPA/FCRA? If they do not follow them, what recourse does the US consumer have? Is this covered in that North American Treaty thingy? Gotta love out sourcing to other countries

Swerve? When I say suicidal, I meant it. They do not give you the chance most times.
  12. Robert, For my part in this I appologize for the stir it created. Basically, I am of the same viewpoint as you. For reference, while I am actually new at the credit repair situation, I can still see a lot of bogus information being posted here and elsewhere that potentually could create more problems for the readers than help. Thats applies to both information posted in the threads as well as the information the site hosts have provided. I value threads such as BrokeinOK's which provide both examples of improper procedures as well as mapping back to the FDCPA sections that where violated. From those, you actullay learn. While it is sad that the credit improvement approach has become such a litigious environment, I suspect that is something that will continue for a very long time.

I drove through Berryville daily on my way to Manassas for 10 years. Moved a little south directly west of Front Royal in WV little over a year ago. I bumped a deer in Milwood on theway home from work one day (25mph speed limit). Jumped out from the bushes. Was lucky, no damage and the deer was also ok. I watched deer get hit 3 or 4 times over the last 10 years.

    Uh Oh

VA deer in the Valley seem to be suicidal. WV seem to be less so. I drive in both states across northern VA to/from work so I see it a lot. The only thing worse are SUVs on a snow/ice day! Seems like people think they are invinciple in a SUV.
  15. Lovebug - Several times you have said When you say this, are you saying you feel that if the OC (and/or JDB for that matter) and a CA is reporting a TL (multiple TLs) that you can only use the FCRA against the OC TL? I ask because I read the FCRA as the consumer has the right to dispute a TL back to the originator of that TL (i.e you can dispute the CA TL to the CA even if there also a OC TL for the same debt).
