  1. What's this Juniper thing I keep hearing about? Is it a credit card?
  2. 1. If you pay off something this is listed as negative/unpaid on your credit report, does it actually increase your score when you pay it? I want to pay off two Verizon bills, which are the least of my problems. Thanks!
  3. Something like that would scare a little old lady.
  4. I am doing much better now than I was back then. I didn't bother answering my phone at home because I knew who was calling. Here's on for ya: My Discover account went to collections and this particular agency (I don't remember the name) was horrible. They were unbelievably nasty! I wish I had known then what I know now. First, the guy called me and seemed very understanding. Admitted that he pulled my credit report...he sympathized...told me that he has seen many credit reports like mine...but told me that I needed to pay up that day. I told him that I couldn't and that I was in a finan
  5. Maybe this is all going over my head...but are you saying that judgements never go away until you do something about them? Two bureaus are reporting this judgement. Please correct me if I'm wrong....technically the life of this judgement is until the year 2010...so it may disappear from my reports, but it still exists? I checked my local court records and this judgement doesn't appear to be there...maybe it was before.....
  6. How can I find out if there is this type of lien against me? If I don't apply for a mortgage until after this judgment falls off in 2010, am I clear then?
  7. In other words, I will have to make contact and settle? Before I do that, I think I will take a trip to City Hall to make sure there are no liens on the property. I don't think there are...but I want to make sure. Thanks!
  8. Ok...so I called and spoke to a rep at Cavalry without giving my personal info. He did offer to look up the account, but I told him that I didn't want to start any activity on the account until I know what options they offer. I was told that they will not delete the account, but they would update the status to say paid, or paying as agreed if a monthly payment arrangement is made. So, I'm assuming that this isn't of much benefit to me because this account will still remain under the negative items on each credit report. oh well....guess I will DV the hell out of this one too
  9. So, I have a judgement that will be reported until 2010...I don't even remember what the debt was for...seriously have no idea. I failed to appear in court...hence...it was entered by default. How can I get rid of this? Can I DV it at this stage? With whom? The credit bureaus? The creditor? Both? Thanks in advance.....
  10. After reviewing my CReports, I was thinking of just paying it because the outstanding is not alot of $, however, I am concerned about how it is to appear on my CReport. Is there a such thing as making an agreement to pay with the collection agency and asking that the account be moved to a positive status deleted?
  11. Has anyone had success getting these collections removed? They are very persistent. Pulled my reports yesterday and each of them are updating each month. For two of them, I have no idea who the original creditor is. For one, the original creditor is Sprint...not sure how easy/difficult it will be to verify this. Wish me luck!
  12. This is a form letter I got from this website......the info I am questionning is in bold. To Whom it May Concern: Steve S. SSN XXX-XX-XXXX Address: 1 E. Any Street, Anytown, USA (Current address for last 5 years) DOB: 1/1/00 I've just reviewed my credit report and have noticed there are several inaccurate items on my report: Chase VISA Acct: xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxx-xxx: This account is listed as being 30 days late. I have never been late on this account. Sears Acct: xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxx-xxx: This account is listed as being 30 days late. I have never been late on this account. Universal Acct: xxxxx-xxxx
  13. on this site. Hello all. I have been lurking for a while and decided to post. Credit scores are in the toilet right now. Hired a company to fix this for me...they did get some items removed but all of a sudden they are nowhere to be found. Duh! You live and learn, right? Okay...after reading alot...I think what I've gathered is that the best way to start is to send a dispute letter to the CRA and the related CA simultaneously?
