  1. Another thing, all you conspiracy nuts- there is no Air base in Area 51-
  2. WOW! Pikeville gets a 150,000 grant and a 1,000,000 loan--- meanwhile back in the real world JP Morgan Chase gets $25,000,000,000.
  3. I've hears BoA is getting harder to get secured cards- Is there a Credit Union in your area you can join? are you former military?(if so NFCU is great). I recommend if you have $500, put it a CU and keep adding 100 bucks a paycheck into it until you reach $1000. Then get a secured card. It gives you a few months to establish a relationship with the CU- creates good saving habits, and I think 1G looks much better as a tradeline than 250 or 500- and your less likely to get in trouble with utilization- keep the balance below 300 and you'll have a great builder card.
  4. Patience----- find a different credit union- and make regular deposits until you reach 1000. Then ask for a card. You have to show reliability. They can still lose $$ on secured card, make yourself trustworthy.
  5. False- never been to a Costco's- I prefer BJ's (wholesale) TNP- listens to Rush Limbaugh

  8. Didn't we just elect an admitted cocaine user who associates with terrorist, and has no real experience in the work force?
  9. How long was it between your last payment (before you 'walked away') and when you paid it off? I don't think one CRA cares what the other CRAs report- they are going too report the information the data provider gives them. If it is inaccurate- then you can dispute it. Have you gotten your free reports from www.annualcreditreport.com yet? These reports are the most accurate- and should be the ones you base your disputes on. You are entitled , by federal law, to a free report each year from each CRA. GOOD LUCK AND WELCOME TO THE FORUM!

  12. False- I hate WDW TNP- Spends way too much time on the interenet
  13. Is it listed as a 'charge off' or a 'write off'? Is this negative account?
  14. I hated to see Megan go home, but why was she acting like a bird? I noticed Jason Castro in the audience- maybe she got hold of some of hid (or Paula's) 'goodies'. before the show.
  15. You might also want to check if you live in an USDA eligible area- 0 money down- 100% financed.

  17. I'm saving my money for that too. Let me know how it was.
  18. I JUST WANT TO MAKE SURE EVERYONE HEARD THIS WAS AN APRIL FOOL "JOKE" BY MOTORTREND MAGAZINE. THE WHITE HOUS HAS NO SUCH PLANS....WillingToCope. A White House source has revealed that as condition of any additional bailout funds being destributed to GM & Chrysler, they must agree to spend at least 80% of Research and developement into 'green technology'. They must agree to discontinue participation in the NASCAR racing series. Ford Motorsports is unaffected by the new rules because they have not received money That means no more Chevy, dodge or Pontiacs in NASCAR- I can't believe this mess. Now the Gov't is dictating how companies are run? In a move sure to spark outrage, the White House announced today that GM and Chrysler must cease participation in NASCAR at the end of the 2009 season if they hope to receive any additional financial aid from the government. Companies around the globe—Honda and Audi, to name two—have drawn down racing operations, and NASCAR itself has already felt the pinch in the form of reduced team spending. A complete withdrawal from America’s premier racing series is expected to save more than $250 million between GM and Chrysler, a substantial amount considering the drastic measures being implemented elsewhere. “Automakers used to operate on the principle of ‘win on Sunday, sell on Monday,’ but the Auto Task Force’s research just doesn’t validate that as true,” said the statement from President Obama. While fans have decried the Car of Tomorrow for heavily limiting what little personalization the cookie-cutter series had previously allowed to participating manufacturers, and drivers have slammed its brick-like aerodynamics and unpredictable handling, even the governmental oversight committee sees that the full-scale regulation of the cars leaves the manufacturers very little space for research and development. “NASCAR is a racing series that regulates down to the smallest detail of the cars, where a car badged a Chevrolet or Dodge differs only marginally from a Ford or a Toyota. There’s no technological development to speak of.” The statement goes on further to say the same demand will be made of Ford if it asks for government assistance. “In order to receive this money, corporations must demonstrate they will spend it wisely. Racing has been said to improve on-road technology, but frankly, NASCAR almost flaunts its standing among the lowest-tech forms of motorsport. NASCAR is not proven to drive advancements that transfer from the racetrack to the road, and this nation’s way forward does not hinge on decades-old technology. We need new, and we need innovation.”
  19. Do you ever close your eyes while watching idol? If you do- you can tell Anoop has superior vocal talent- he just looks goofy, and looks totally forced. Close your eyes and listen to Scott- he is horrendous. I adore Megan- she just picks horrible songs. I think Allison may have the best vocals of all of them- and she's only 16- amazing- she's just kinda weird.
  20. This was a horrible show- the only one entertaiing was Adam and Kris- Scot Mcintyre was horrible (as usual) but somehow the judges loved him. My prediction is either Megan or Anoop will be axed.
  21. I had some decent long reporting tradelines- a perfect auto loan from 10 years ago- still reporting on TU. I had a few chargeoffs from 2004. I'm thinking it was a fluke- that I got the card. The best credit card I had at the time was a $1000 secured NFCU visa which was about 9 months old. I had also fired all my junk cards (HSBC - Target etc)
