  3. Lynn I'm talking about both Perkins and institutional/private loans. What can I do in each situation? From my reading in this board, I should send dispute the default by sending a written complaint to both the CRA and my university, and say that they are wrong.

    Mega Post Whores

I'm new, but I'm working on becoming a mega post whore
  8. Bigwoodystyl, Thanks for the recommendations, I'm a total newb to credit and credit repair, and I suppose that's why I'm in the situation that I'm in. I'll definitely google and search this forum for how to dispute with the CRA and the original creditor. Do you have any other suggestions that I might be able to try? Thanks a lot.
  9. Is there anything else I can do to improve my credit besides rehabbing it or consolidating? That takes a lot of time, and I'm hoping that it can be done more quickly, as I am looking into getting a house. Thanks in advance
  10. Hi guys. My credit is screwed up due to defaulted student loans. When I graduated from college, I neglected to defer my student loans, so they were overdue and defaulted. These are university loans, rather than federal loans. I'm a newb, and I don't even know how to begin to fix my credit. Can you guys point me in the right direction?
  11. Willingtocope, yeah I've been doing searches on this site, and I guess the consensus is that at best, credit repair companies overcharge for what you can do for free. I'm a total newb, and right now, I'm doing a lot of searches on previous thread on this site. Can you point me in the right direction, knowing that my credit problems are related to my defaulted student loans?
  12. Hi guys. My credit is screwed up because of my student loans. When I left college, I neglected to deferred my student loans, so my loans went overdue and defaulted. Other than that, my credit history is good. I'm always on time with my credit card payments. Can you guys recommend a reliable and effective credit fixing company that can help me fix my credit? I am located in Los Angeles, CA. Thanks in advance.
