  1. I have an old Kohls charge off for 900 dollars over 4 years old. However what they are showing is a credit line for 100 dollars on the acct event though its charged off. So at least on Equifax, possibly the other credit agencys its showing that I am 900 Percent Utilization on that account. I am rebuilding my credit but only have a couple small credit lines. so my over all utilization is well over 400 percent which is hurting my credit score much more than the old charge off. My question is- is this Legal? How can I have an active credit line on an account that was charged off almost 4 years ago? Obviously they are doing it to drive up my utilization. I have disputed it on the credit agencies to no avail. Any suggestions have anyone heard of this before? Is it a fair credit law violation that I can use to get this account removed. any help is appreciated.
