  1. So, my wages are being garnished as of my last paycheck (5/5/16). Today I got the court stuff in the mail. I know I owe money to student loan people, but I don't think this is for that. My questions are : 1) How do I find out exactly what this debt is from? The research I've done shows that Cavalry is a company that buys debts. In my case they are being represented by Machol & Johannes. 2) How do I stop the garnishment? Thanks in advance!
  2. I have a default money judgment against me from midland funding at civil court in NY, however I was never served because they used my old address. Now I've received a letter from my bank stating they are going to allow the plaintiff to garnish my bank account in 20 days. 1. What do I ask for in my order to show cause? 2. I was advised to file a stay enforcement. What is this? 3. When and how can I ask for proof from the plaintiff? Any advice will be appreciated.
