  1. I leased a 2015 Nissan Altima in 2015 with 77 miles on it. A few months after I bought the car I had a lapse in my insurance and during that time was involved in an accident, I was unable to drive the car anymore and was unable to afford to get the car fixed without the insurance. Eventually, the car was repossessed and I moved on. Shortly after they sent me a letter stating that I owed $26,913 on the car, this is also reported on my credit. I am now (4 years later) trying to buy my first home, but having this on my credit is really hurting my chances. Does anyone have any experience with Nissan? Has anyone had anything similar? I am looking to see if there is something I can do to help me get past this. It is currently reported on my credit as a charge off but the amount owed is what is hurting my chances for buying because it is still showing as an "Active care payment" according to the lender I am working with. Please if anyone has any suggestions please let me know.
  2. Greetings, I need help! I have an auto loan that is in the process of being charged off. The bank (wellsfargo) has been attempting to repossess the vehicle for some time, however I've managed to keep it in my possession. I owe roughly 16k on the vehicle but got WF to agree to a 10k settlement offer. I don't have 10k or the means to gain that money in a lump sum. My credit score is terrible (480) but my personal habits and financial habits have drastically improved since I put myself in this situation. I am attempting to get a 10k loan to pay off the settlement (and get my credit/my consigners credit back on track) but I am having difficulty finding a place that will consider my situation. I've attempted to arrange a payment plan with WF to pick up where I left off with the loan but they won't have it. I am at a loss of what to do and am open to suggestions!
  3. Wells Fargo Dealer Services Repossesed my Car in Dec 2010 for missing 2 payments. I was sent a Notice of intent to sell property and in it it an option to Reinstate if I paid the remaining balance plus any fees added. So i Paid the amount owed in its totality and in a few days recovered my vehicle and later was sent the Pink Slip. Now this shows up on my Credit Report as a Repossession, even though I reinstated the contract. 1. What options do I have at this point to repair this account on my report? Account Name: WFDS/WDS ACCOUNT TYPE: Auto Loan Closed Experian shows as Paid was past due 120 days Equifax shows as At least 120 days or more than 4 payments past due/ Paid Account Zero Balance Transunion shows as Repossession / Closed
  4. I had a vehicle repossessed in December 2008. My last payment was made Sept 2008) which is what was stated as date of first delinquency. The listing showed that there was a payment made in February 2009 (which I am assuming is when they sold the car at auction). A dispute/investigation letter was sent to TU stating that there hadn't been any payments made since Sept 2009 and that they needed to investigate. They sent me back the results and it updated the listing with a different balance and now all three CRA's are reporting the DOFD as March 2009. I sent the method of verification letter to TU and I'm waiting for that information. Should I send letters to EQ and EXP asking them to investigate why the information changed, or should I wait to see what TU says. I know for a fact that I made no payments since Sept 2009. Would the payment from the sale of the vehicle count as a payment? I would like to get the listing corrected back to what it was (for obvious reasons). What if anything, can or should be done to have this corrected back to what it was? See attached for what the listings look/looked like...I tried pasting it here, but it changed to text only and was difficult to read.
  5. Car in danger of being repossessed? Don't panic.Ask your lender to "re-age" the loan. Re-aging car payments puts those in arrears at the end of the loan making your account current. You pay a small interest fee and move on. The bank doesn't want your car. It's a depreciating asset that sells for pennies at auction. Be nice when you call the lender. REMEMBER... "The force has a strong influence on the weak minded" (Starwars) Be smart, be polite and let them know you are "aware" that this solution exists. If you're no more than 3 payments behind it should be a simple thing to make happen. May The Schwartz Be With You!!
