Kimber vs. FFC

Hey, I was looking for this same thing a while back when we were discussing the time-barred debt issue in Cali. I've looked everywhere and I couldn't find it. There is an FTC letter that references to it, but I haven't been able to find it myself. Maybe someone will find it. I've just looked about everywhere.

Everyone, Thanks for the input. Like Niner, I'm trying to find the actual case and can only find other items that mention it. I even found other cases that used it as a reference. I mainly want to read it as it sounds, by its reference, that it holds a lot of good discussion and law. Oh well, I'll keep trying. If I find it I will definitely let this site know where it is.

BTW Niner, I was in town on Sunday at Del Valle Park. My High School has an all years/classes picnic there every year.

I live accross the street from Bolivar Park. I haven't been to Del Valle Park in a while, but I do know where it is. Just down the road from me.

There is a courthouse in Pleasanton (which sounds like it is close). It has a law library open to the public. 5672 Stoneridge Drive.

I don't even know where Pleasanton is. I've heard of it, but it's probably up towards northern Cali. I'm more or less in southern cali. If you know of any place out this way let me know, and I'll see if I can make it in that direction.

Niner, just want to let you know that you are in my old neighborhood. I grew up on the street that runs headon into Robinson May at the Mall. In fact, if you go over to that street using Obispo, you would turn left and and go about halfway. On the right you will see a pink house that looks in bad shape and is probably still sealed by the administrator. Go four houses further and you will see a gray one (2817) (green when we we in it), that is the house I grew up in. We moved in in 8/52 and mom sold and moved out in 4/65 after all of us were married and out . I used to swim in the park pool and crossed the park each day as I went to Hoover. My first time was the day after it opened. I could tell you a lot about the city. I get up there occasionally to check on different people.

Yes, Pleasanton is quite a ways North of there. Thanks anyway, Calawyer.

BTW, the sealed house belonged to a childhood friend. He was found dead there on 1/11/03 from heart failure. They couldn't find his family so administrator took over. Through mutual friends family was found, but, I don't know what is going on right now.

Sorry 'bout that. There is a Del Valle park in Livermore which is pretty close to Pleasanton.

Anyway, the point is, ANY court I have ever visited anywhere in California has a law library. They are open to the public. The bigger one's have librarians will little to do all day except answer research questions. They will have the entire fed supp series so you will be able to find Kimber. What's more, they will (or I can) tell you how to find every case that has ever cited or quoted from Kimber.

Just another plug to visit a law library. There is a ton of stuff there that is not available on line (without paying).
