on a mission
I applied for the GM card and I was denied because of type of residency and too many inquiries, I only have 2 on Equifax in last 6 months, and Is it because I'm a renter. Has anyone else been denied because of these reasons?
melisadawn
I have never had them say because of residency. I have 2 negs and no inquiries When I tried for a c.c. I have been denied in all I tried that has been suggested on this board. Have you been at residency for less then 1 yr? Or move around a lot? Maybe that could be a reason. on a mission
No I have lived in the same place for 8 years, and It's the only address listed on Equifax too.
kb9tbq
I am wondering if you mis-understood the decline on residency,When I applied for Pulaski, they had strict underwriting that required them to mail out letter to my address and to answer my phone when they called.Well they kicked back my request the first time, because I missed the message left on my voice mail to confirm my number was correct and that my address was correct. They sent me a decline letter - so I called them back up and pointed out that my residency worked because I in fact got their decline letter!Call and ask them to explain their reason for the letter better; and then see what you can do to point out to them also that you only have 2 inquiries for them to have used that for a reason. on a mission
I will call them first thing monday morning, but when I submitted the application I was at home to answer the phone which is the weird part. On a good note I was approved for the Union Plus.
kb9tbq
You may just find like in my case it was something simple and stupid on their part. I never did get my Pulaski approval, cause with the new 2nd chance I had - they reviewed my report and kicked me back out due to high income to balance ratios they included my JOINT car loan & JOINT rent solely against me! I argued the point with her, but she would not budge! So it is back to the drawing board for the next round!Congrats on the Union Plus card, see quite a few people have been having good fortune with this company approving credit. on a mission
Well thanks KB, I hope it's an oversight my rent is pretty low and my car payment compared to my income.
