i'macreditrisk
I decided to order my TU credit report online today. According to the report, I have absolutely no Satisfactory Accounts and 2 Adverse Accounts. Not only that, they have no emplyment data on file. I had disputed a collection account last year which was subsequently deleted. But the updated report still contained all of my positive accounts and employment data. How is it possible for 15 positive accounts and my employment data to just disappear? Obviously I'm going to dispute this report, but has anyone had this happen to them before?I wonder what my score is with no positive accounts, 2 negative accounts and no job? lol. md
Unfortunately if the positive tradelines are gone the only way to get them back is to contact the OCs and have them re-report them.It also sounds like it is possible that your file got split somehow. It seems odd for that much data to disappear. Have you contacted TU yet to find out what could have possibly happened? Are you a junior or a senior?Good luck with this one. Capepuffin
Yes, it sounds like you probably have a split file. Call the CRA and find out what the name is on the other file. Now you have to get them to combine the 2 files. I am sure your pos TL's will be there!

i'macreditrisk
How is it possible for my file to get split? It's not like I'm running all over the place applying for credit like some crazed lunatic.Capepuffin, are you saying someone else's name could be on the second file? md
The most common thing that can cause a file to split is if you share a name and address with someone else. That is why I asked if you were a junior or a senior. Sometimes if the names are just similar it will suffice.Another thing that can cause a split file is too many soft inquiries. If you pull your report a ton then it can eventually cause the file to split. And then again, it sometimes just happens for unkown reasons. The best thing to do is to call them and explain what happened. Do you happen to have a copy of that old report to back up your claim? Good luck! i'macreditrisk
No, I'm not a junior or senior so that definitely is not the problem. Fortunately I was able to find my previous TU credit report from about 5 months ago, so I'll be sending them a copy of that as well. Does anyone have a manager/supervisor's email at TU?Great site by the way! I stumbled across this place a while back when I was starting to have some credit "issues." It's definitely opened up my eyes and is helping me deal with continuing credit problems. I'm so glad there's a site like this. Keep up the good work! Capepuffin
It happened to me. My married name was added to some accounts and not to others, so they created another file. Also, if your name is spelled wrong it can create a split file. I ctually had 3 files under my SSN! It took some time but I finally got it straightened out.First you need to call them to find out if you have a split file. If they say no, then send your old CR. If they say yes, then they need to combine them. Also you should check with the other 2 CRA's to see if your file is split with them too!
