Spydc
Supposedly my mastercard account with Citi is being listed as a bankrupt account? How the heck.. i never filed for bankruptcy. I did sign up with a debt settlement program by homeland financial where upon I sent close account letters and a power of attorney so they can negotiate a settlement. But I abruptly cancelled the program after a month and I called Citi to make arrangements to re-age the account or make it current. I don't want to settle. It was set up as 3 payments of $71. I made the payments and the account is still not current! First they say that they miscalculated the payments. Then they tell me it is labeled as "settlement".. and now they say it is listed as a bankrupt account. I'm going nuts here! They had me fax over the cancellation letter from the debt settlement program and still nothing! They are giving me the biggest run around. They tell me to call like 5 different numbers, and each one tells me to call the other! I really don't know what to do anymore.
