Xanathos
The lawyer for TransUnion(who I'm suing) decided to give me a call today to discuss my lawsuit. The thing that struck me as odd was he wasn't really talking about the details of the case I brought against them, but rather the reason why I disputed these things in the first place. This bit of deflection raised a bit of a red flag in my head...fortunately, today just so happens to be my birthday, so I have ppl calling every 5 minutes to give me the well wishes type stuff, and I brushed him off to call back in an hour. How should I handle this guy? I don't want to divulge too much information to him before I go before the judge...definitely want to keep him on the topic of TU's failure to comply with the FCRA, not the causes of my disputes. Or is this normal, and I should just have a long drawn out convo with this fella?
robshope
Unless he starts talking about the violations and a written agreement to settle on YOUR terms, I wouldn't say a word. period.

retmar
I agree with the others. Do not say anything to him unless he is offering a type of settlement. If he won't, just tell him you'll see him in court and hang up. Be sure to make note of the call and what transpired in the call, otherwise, he could come back and say he tried and you wouldn't budge. Always remember to CYA.
