sisflomi
My fellow neighbors and credit repair friends, it seems that we do have our "own" Michigan FDCPA too!!! Not as nice as the one that Cali has, but hey, there is some stuff in there that just might come in handy for us down the road. Once I figure out just what sections we need, I will post them for us. I did read this much for now, if you request validation of the debt, the ca must I repeat very LOUD, MUST include:The number and amount of previously made paymentsThis is one to start watching for if you are getting any type of validation back from the ca's. Will report back after I spend a few more hours reading up on this.
wokscott
Where are you reading this? I've searched all over including the State of Michigan Web Site and can not find anything?
sisflomi
I am reading these things in our state laws. Through michigan legislature or something like that. Do a search for Michigan State Laws. Then when you find it, have lots of fun reading it. There are tons and tons to read and try to understand. I have been researching this stuff and looking for all I can for the past 7 or 8 months. I have at times spent 5 hours just reading through each section of the laws.
