Boobeans
I pulled a copy of my report and there were credit cards on there that I have not had in years. One I didn't even know I had, a Express card, on the report it says "Too new to rate" with a credit limit of $750. I disputed the card and now I am thinking that I shouldn't have since it was not "bad credit". Is there a way to ask Equifax to cancel that investigation? I don't want to get rid of any good credit that I might have. Thanks
kb9tbq
No you don't want to cancel this; you want to call this creditor and find out why they have an open account on your credit report that you did not open. If they verify that it is yours; then you must close it cause odds are that someone took this account to victimize your credit. You want to find out who it is if possible and file a report. You are in a very fortunate position catching this right quick, to put a stop to it.There is a problem here you just don't realize it and they might take what they can and later stick you with a bill. So you want to find out what is going on for sure to protect yourself.
