Monopoly
I faxed Experian a dispute for my DH. Today in the mail I rec'd a letter stating that they can't handle his request because of additional info they need....(ya know, their normal standard letter!). I had him call and they said they won't except a fax because of security reasons. Has anyone had a similar experience?? Are they screwing with us or what? DocDon
They do that if there is a question about your identity, and yes, sometimes they do it to screw with you. I've never had a problem with faxed disputes, but others needed to send copies of their driver's license and a copy of a utility bill. Luck of the draw I guess. Was there any other type of identifying information other than your DH’s (ie: did you put your name on it?). I know it sounds stupid, but that could be a reason. kb9tbq
Usually making it a habit of including copy of drivers license (with DL# marked out) will help insure that they process disputes faster without letters returned requesting additional information.
