Eeyore
I have this medical bill on my son I've been paying $5 a month on and up until a month ago everything has been fine. The CA sends his "Your payment is due by the 13th" letter which I ignore and send the payment to the OC every month. Last month the CA sends a letter saying, "Based on recent payment activity, your account has been approved for a payment plan of $25.00 per month." Gee, I didn't know you got punished for trying to pay your bills! The OC is lucky I can get them the $5. There is no way they're getting $25! Can the CA legally pull this garbage of demanding 5xs more money a month when I've been paying all this time?I've also discovered that the CA isn't licensed in my state....FL. Any suggestions on my next step? Should I confront them first or contact the state licensing board about this? Thanks!Eeyore
LadynRed
You're lucky they're accepting such a small amount to begin with !Hospitals and medical providers typically won't accept payments unless you can pay them 100% in 3 months or less. If the hospital is accepting your $5, ignore the CA as you have been.
