This morning I pull PG and 4 negative TLs (3 COs and a CA) are gone! The funny thing is I didn't dispute them yet. They were scheduled to stay on AT LEAST another 6 months. I was going to dispute them once my change of address had gone through. What's going on? Do you think they will come back?

EQ- deleted

BofA DOLA-11/96, CO-6/97

MBNA DOLA-11/96, CO 6/97

Express DOLA 9/96, CO 10/97

TU- deleted

Curly, I said it before... " YOU DA WO-MAN"! Way to go.

KB... I trully think the address thing is working hardcore. I had a old TL(INST) remove all the lates. from EQ in 2 weeks it was updated. Now let me flashback! Sorry  My A.D.D kicked me in the butt! Lol! I disputed this TL not mine and was actually worried they wouldn't answer and I'd loose my oldest TL. We they verified it WAS mine. So then my called EQ a week later and removed all my old addresses on file. mid July I dispute same TL as never late( 30-2X and 60 like 5 X's) bam. Lates gone! Right after the addresses are removed. Coincidence?!?!?!? I don't think so. It through them for a loop. Plus I live in a different state from all my bad credit years. So THAT helps!

L8R

In my case, the address changes couldn't have been it. I haven't been able to get rid of the old ones on EQ yet because they want proof of my new address, which I don't have yet (waiting for new DL). The new address is only reporting on EX which makes NO sense, since the open accounts I have on there are on all three CRAs, so if it was reported to them, it HAD to be reported to the others, too! They must be lazy over at TU and EQ.

My best guess after looking everything over is that these are my oldest bad TLs and someone over at EQ must have just jumped the gun by a few months deleting them. I was going to dispute them soon anyway.

The Crap One CA on TU is wierd though because it hadn't been updated in over a year and it suddenly disappears after I complained about the illegal reaging on this board and to Ed Combs. ( I hadn't sent the paperwork yet though.)

Its as if they are reading my mind (or this board!!!) :o

It's probobly due to the fact that you can't collect in california after 4 yrs. Reporting to a CRA is considered collection activity. In Calif. if they can't collect in 4 yrs they can't report open charge offs. So if you have anymore TIME-BARRED debts, they should also come off or you can ask to have them removed. If they are PAID charge-offs, then you have to wait the 7 yr. reporting period.

AD, almost all of my negative TLs are UNPAID COs from 6 years ago. I have about 10 of them. There are still 6 + corresponding CAs on EQ. What do you think is the best way to handle it? Should I dispute first or send a SOL letter?

First of all that's great news.

I would make sure you get input from Niner and Retmar.

I'm not sure what the most efficient way to get a Calif. Time-Barred debt off your credit report is.

I would go read the CALI. thread on the board. Tech. goddess sent a letter an SOL and a letter to the BBB and it was off, but there might be a more effiecient way(Nothing against Tech goddes she pretty much broke the Ice for us). Read the thread and make a post. We have proven that reporting a time-barred debt is collection activity but haven't address what is the most efficeint to get them off. It might be a good time to address that issue.

Answer, post the question on the CALI thread.
