edubb007
I called FNANB today and talked to the credit dept. I asked them thier scores for approval. The lady said 6 mos. no lates and not really a score associated. i said " OK ". I went to the store and looked at a 47" HDTV that the GF and I have been looking at for a while. I found an open box special...Applied and Bam! DENIED! I was pissed! I have the cash for the TV but it would've looked nice to buy a $1200 TV and then pay it off in full. Oh well... I'll buy it with cash. I can't understand why they lied to me earlier. Oh well I'll dispute the inQ! It just never happened. Oh yeah when I called them to ask for the denial reason they said that I had lates on my CR. I said yeah like 5 years ago. She said it didn't matter! So maybe this can be a heads up for anyone who doesn't want to get embarrassed.L8REDubb007
sisflomi
Dang, sorry to hear that. Why not try a different creditor first before you pay cash? Maybe even use your visa or somthing. That is a good amount to pay off in a months time.
edubb007
Yeah Sis.. I'll put on my visa. It sucks though that they would do that. Maybe they should warn you first. i might try PFB and see what happens. Oh well...
retmar
Do you have that rep's name? If so, I would start at the bottom and work to the top chewing me some tail.
edubb007
No... I was o surpeised that I thought I qualified that I didn't care. I already had the GF permission to get the TV on my other account and we'd pay cash before the grace period. So I went to best buy and found a great deal on a 42" HDTV Toshiba widescreen! It's awesome! It's gonna look great in my living room. It's not too big it's perfect for a 13'X 20' living room. I just need surround sound now! That's next months billing cycle! Lol! retmar
Darn! You could still call and go off on the supervisor, then tell them that you are going to ????? and pay cash as, due to the incompetence of their employee, you refuse to ever do business with them again and will be sure to tell all of your family and friends as to how you were treated. Then say thank you, have a nice day and hang up. Be sure to give your name. Then, send a letter to the main office and repeat the above. It may not get the account, but, it may get the inq off easier, along with the satisfaction of "releasing some tension". I am quite rude when someone misleads me, and when I call, 8 of 10 times I get the"big one" on the phone as I am relentless when "angry". One example is a Hospital that mistreated my wife in her care ended up writng off my co-pay and sent a letter of apology. Think about it.BTW, we bought an RCA 52" Projection TV about 5 yrs ago and are quite pleased. We have been thinking about a smaller HDTV as our living room is smaller than our other one was. I think we are about 11' X 18"while our other was 11 1/2' X 22'. Besides, having to remove the "Screen Saver" periodically to clean is getting to be a !@#$%. We cracked it once, so went to where we bought it and they wanted $170.00 for a new one. Mind you, it is only 1/8" Plexiglass. Same thing at Home Depot is about $25.00 at most. We still have the crack. It doesn't effect the picture. So enjoy your new TV as you will really be happy you bought it. In fact, you'll probably ask yourself why you didn't get one sooner. edubb007
Thanks.. I'm gonna love it! I can tell by the way my jaw dropped and I watched all the tv's for about an hour before I said anything to anyone. I am very excited to have it set up in my living room!
