Its just a standard letter....We are a debt collector attempting to collect...

If I pay in full (higher than it really is) they will tell CRA's that it was a full payment and satisfied.

If I pay settlement offer, They will tell CRA'S Settled (I guess for less than full amount)...

I am not sure what to do because only OC is on CR...

It was charged off in 10-2001

Sis, Should I say that they are under no legal obligation to report anything to the CRA'S so with the acceptance of my payment , please delete.

Should I send it to the OC ????

And when I send the money order I will put PAID IN FULL on it...Right ?? :)

Well, I would send the payment to the oc with a copy of the settlement letter from the ca. Go here and read up on restrictive endorsements, they are allowed in NJ, but you have to do this the right way. Read up here on it:

http://www.carreonandassociates.com/4settle.htm

You have to make sure you put stuff on the front and the back of the money order or check you send them. You also need to fit all of this on there:

cashing of this check represents

payment in full to whom this check

was issued. by cashing this check

creditor and/or his assignee

(collection agency, etc also agree

to remove any derogatory credit it

has previously reported regarding

this account e.g. (slo pays, prls,

judgements, reposessions,

collecitons, etc) from all credit

bureaus within 10 days from the

cashing of this item. this agreement

shall superceede all previous

contracts between the parties.

void if rights reserved.

It also has to be a size 6 font to fit on there. You also want to put on there somewhere Deposit to OC only.
