I know this is not a medical board but I was wondering if anyone had any information or personal experience with anyone suffering from a ruptured aortic aneurysm? My uncle is right now in a coma undergoing emergency surgery from his aorta rupturing and my mom called me hysterical. The hospital won't tell me anything cause I'm only the niece and since they're all back home in Sweden I can't go to the hospital and find out more. If anyone knows anything about I would greatly appreicate any information. Thank you.

You guys are awesome, wonderful, terrific- I'm so glad you're all here. Thank you!!!!

candy, thank you for your kind words

vonnie, I'm ready to talk  You're right, the hardest thing is being away, not feeling like you're doing anything to help. My mom is actually coming here on Monday (was supposed to come on Thursday but had to delay it) A couple of days later my brother is coming so we'll have 3 awesome weeks together to help her through the loss, our loss. We haven't spent this much time together in over 10 years so it will be good therapy for the holidays.

Jenny, not to gross anyone out, but that's what my mom told me too what you said. It's a blood clot preventing the blood from flowing freely and eventually it burst, ripping the aorta open. The doctor said there was 2,5 gallons of blood in his stomach and even though they gave transfusions, they couldn't reattach the walls of the aorta becuase it was too thin so the added blood just kept going straight out. My only relief is that at least at this point, he was in a coma. It's hard to know that a loved one had to suffer so much before that.

Creditfix, my deepest condolences to you and your husband. This is a hard time to lose someone with the holidays coming up. I'm thinking about you :tired:

Sorry about this post being totally unrelated to the purpose of credit discussions. I think a while back we sorta started using this board for some "general" stuff. I think because I spend so much time here it came natural to me to turn to the board for advice and just to "talk" (write ;)) I really do appreciate everyone's concern and being there to listen.

I wish you all have a safe, happy and wonderful holiday!! and that Santa Chod comes to visit each of you...

Love ya Swede,

Enjoy the visit with your family. It's unfortunate that the only time we get together is for these types of occasions :dep: .

It always gives you a greater appreciation for those who are here...you hug them tighter, express your love more often, and then time goes by :( .

Everytime there is a tragedy in the family, at that moment, leaving the cemetery, we all pledge to get together more often...it's sad but it never happens. You lose a phone number, time goes on.

Take care and we will be here when you're ready :soppy:

Creditfix, Take care. Sorry for DH loss :(

Dear creditfix, I am very sorry that your uncle died Sat. of Cancer. I had an uncle approx. 2 yrs.ago on Thanksgiving died of cancer too. Once again, I am very sorry what happen.

I truly believe, when a love one dies, you have a special angel who protects you. When you're driving, instead of that drunk driver that was supposely headed your way , it went another way, becasue of your special (loveone)angel, reason ing with God and saying " Its not her/his time yet" I truly beleive that with all my heart!

I used to work with a co-worker, whose husband killed her and his step-daughter a couple of months ago, This was really shocking, because 7months before that,I attended her wedding! Sometimes, I feel so guilty of wanting deletions on my credit, why my house can't stay perfectly clean all the time, wanting more money and etc. But, here it is we all suffered a lostand someone riht now as I write this, is mouring a lost of a love one. LOVE YOUR FAMILY AND BEST FRIENDS , YOU NEVER KNOW !

LOVE YA! TO ALL MY NEW CREDIT FRIENDS

:) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

This is the perfect time of year for us all to take a step back and count the many blessings in our lives. Love our loved ones a little more and tell them we love them. Don't just assume they know. We never know when the last time we will see them will be.

Don't take for granted all of the little things in life. Because it's the little things that add up to make the big things.

May God greatly bless each and everyone of you this Christmas. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your families and the great losses you have encountered.

I know so many people that have passed away from an aneurysm over the last two years. Young people too, in their early 30's to early 40's. Sorry to hear it was in your family too. I have learned that a few friends from school passed from this too, it was brain aneurysms, seems that it was from use of cocain. Its amazing what todays drugs are doing to people.
