Anonymous Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 I just realized something. i was so happy about paying of discover's ca on an account delinquent since 95!!! that i didn't realize that i never got the settlement in writing. they stopped interest 3 years ago and i made monthly payments, BUT strangely enough my statements never reflected the interest being stopped!!!!!!!!! so they could very well come after me for the remainder right?

DocDon Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 Shame on you. Go stand in the corner. I would call them and see if they can search their contact database and see if the rep entered the agreement into their system. Otherwise, me thinks you will be liable.
techgoddess Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 They did that to me when I was supposed to be in their hardship program. When I asked about it, they said they didn't have a record of it.
Anonymous Posted May 24, 2003 Author Report Posted May 24, 2003 luckily i told the rep some sob story about me having a baby and being a single mother and hoping that i wouldn't have to pay more and blah blah and it worked. sorry, but you gotta do what you gotta do... and he pulled the file and said a letter saying my account was paid in full would be mailed today (this was yesterday) so that is good right?
