bu9418
would it be safe to say that if the account was opened in 1996 the OCs wouldn't have the contract readily available?

kb9tbq
See, when you are that close you should be busy making plans on what you want to accomplish with your credit report, like what type of accounts you have now, and what will make it look better. If you have high balances, if you can transfer, or get the best rates, plans like that will keep you busy,
improvescore
bu9418, I did a DV with First USA Bank and they sent me a copy of my original signed credit card application...dated 1995. Almost blew me away that they kept something that long.

kb9tbq
Ah, yes - forgot about that, my younger years working during the summers - had microfilm I had to use to order parts from. Interesting how them things work.Yes, that is a sure killer if they do, but I don't know with the technology these days, that gets to be time consuming for businesses to want to continue maintaining that type of system. I would think at this point, it will be far and in between what businesses are holding on to this, possible though.
