Anonymous
What do you see with BK verification...In other words, is there any step (i.e., lack of address verification, or otherwise) that would prevent validation of a BK filing. Also, is there any step that cannot be verified after an attempted BK filing that would be missed, i.e., I filed for BK and the judge turned me down based on assets, yet the record showed up on my credit anyway, etc.??? THANKS !!!
kb9tbq
Are you still living at the same address back when you would of filed for the bankruptcy? Some courthouses have automated systems; all that has to be done with these is to enter the SS# and it gives all the data related to the bankruptcy. Some have online look up for the information & others won't give up the information - unless you personally go to the courthouse and ask for it. Varies amoung the court houses what can be done to veirfy. A simple call to your local courthouse & attempt to verify can clear this part up on their policy of giving out information. If you had lived elsewhere when the BK was filed for then dispute w/ CRAs to delete the address. Otherwise you will just have to obtain a copy of the record and look for errors to dispute. Like file date; assets; liabilities and the such. Anonymous
If you claim that an account was 'included in bankruptcy' when disputing an an item, and the CRA cannot verify this with the OC, will they just update the account to read as such or will they delete it entirely????
